Drive through the new forest. Great surrounding! Great roads. Need to come back and see the other back roads. Perhaps by motorcycle! :)

Beautiful countryside, some areas were quite boggy but that's what you expect at this time of the year.

I have visited the new forest on a number of occasions now and each time it just gets better. Whatever time of year you go it is still beautiful. Just to see the new forest ponies roaming free is such a wonderful sight.

We stayed in a four star hotel which was excellent with just a short walk into Lyndhurst. The pubs and eating places we used were very good.

Amazing for walking, just watch out for the ponies who are sometimes friendly and less so at other times! Would recommend you have a look at the map of where you are walking before setting off.

It was stark and yet beautiful - ponies everywhere. Had a lovely time exploring the many tracks and stopping at a country pub for lunch.
