The New Forest is very scenic to drive through at any time of year with quaint little villages and interesting country pubs. The wild life/animals are free wandering.

The New Forest offers opportunities to get out in the great outdoors and wander across miles of stunning heathland or forest . Wild ponies are found across the national park and need to be watched when driving as they have no road sense at all ! The towns of Lyndhurst and Fordingbridge are both worth a visit with small local... More

The New Forest is a truly enchanting place! We arrived as dusk started to set in and from the moment we turned off the M27 into the New Forest it felt as if we had been instantly transported back in time! So much to see and do. We went on a story trail which the children enjoyed immensely (as did... More

The New Forrest is a stunning and vast area of woodland and heath land and is steeped in History. One example king Rufus being shot in the eye out hunting. and a large stone laid in the place where he fell. Lyndhurst itself is short drive from the coast, giving you the best of both worlds, and has a good... More

Lyndhurst is delightful. A place everybody should visit. The surrounding countryside is beautiful. The traffic can be a problem but a minor one

This is a stunningly beautiful and surprisingly sparsely populated area. The bracken stretches over the rolling countryside for as far as the eye can see. Wild ponies adorn the landscape although they can be a hazard as they often wander close to the roads. Small towns like Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Fordingbridge amongst others are a joy to visit although with... More

We have been coming to the new forest every year for the last 25 years and we now take our young children here. There is some much to do with them. Totally recommend grabbing at Mudeford Quay and rhinefields.

During half term 2014 I took 2 children aged 6 and 8 to this riding school for a half hour lead-out ride into the New Forest. All off road so very safe. The kids loved it and will definitely return next school holiday, perhaps for some lessons. The stables are well-run, all very neat and tidy and the staff are... More
