Most wonderful place to visit. The forest is stepped in history from the norman times to the present day. Best explored using the open-top buses during the summer. It makes much of it's foods locally and has a peaceful and eye catching coastline when the weather is good. The famous new forest ponies are a sight to see as well... More

Love the New Forest. The Forest is so extensive that the range of things to do is without end. From strolling through the Redwoods of the Ornamental Drive to the moor like hills at the west end of the forest, to the seaside villages down by the Solent. There are some great pubs, some superb hotels, and some great villages.... More

My advice? Get off the beaten track in one of the oldest forests in England. Beautiful scenery, heathland, free running cattle, donkeys and horses (ponies) Travelled through the centre to Brokenhurst and then followed the sign to Rhinefields Walk. This is so peaceful and has the oldest trees in the forest. Very well run by the Forestry Commission. A great... More

Lyndhurst is handy for all the places to visit in the... More

Staff were very friendly, we were lucky and had lovely weather so we rented out bikes and went on long walks around the camp sites. It was nice and quiet too. We've never been camping before and we really enjoyed our time at New Forest. Thank you :)

The New Forest is worth a visit in anyone's book. The scenery is spectacular and in places you wouldn't believe you were in a country of some 60 million people. There are beautiful villages and pubs with fantastic walks. This area is a must for the overseas visitor and also the local.

Always manage to go 'out of season', thank goodness!! Must be manic in the holidays!! Getting through Lyndhurst is always a nightmare!! Nice to find tranquil spots but notice now, how the traffic noise is hard to get away from. Lovely walking, whether you want easy or difficult. Tranquil settings, beautiful scenery and if the weather's good, one of the... More
