Plenty of information about the New Forest and amenities and places of interest, also a museum and sells gifts.

The forest, which also includes heath is very extensive and the donkeys can be very entertaining. We saw them outside a cafe in Beaulieu begging for food. There are not many wet weather options in the forest so take waterproofs.

Lovely scenery in rain or shine. I enjoyed watching the ponies and it was easy to pull the car over and take some pictures anytime x

This is a great area of the country if you like walking and country. The fact wild animals roam freely makes it special. Driving along we saw ponies, pigs, cows, chickens, deer, ducks, swans and a duck all wandering along the road. Just have to be careful to not knock them over. There is much to do, and great places... The beautiful new forest shouldn't be missed, for a lunchtime, day trip, or a short break it has something to offer for everyone. From peaceful forests and windswept heathland to meandering rivers and picturesque towns & villages. Along with its numerous attractions and coastline its one of England's treasures.

A group of us (several families with children aged 5 to 14) camped for three nights. We found the water park fantastic (albeit a little expensive for some activities) and children had a great time there. The camping was a completely different experience. Three toilets and three showers for a huge camping area, all communal. These were wooden, lovely and... More
