Regularly walk our dog here and run with the dog. Can do smaller walks or keep going for miles. Often seen deer, ponies, foxes and other wildlife. Some tracks are much quieter than others so pick you spot carefully if you'd like to get away from the crowds. Cycle routes are also well sign posted.

Get a bike, get a map, get lost(on purpose). Brilliant place to explore by bike. Gentle inclines but enough climbs to work off the cream teas & pub lunches........ Go as far or as short as you want.

Lovely woods, perfect for long walks. Good walking (or cycling) trails. We went during the week in March, so the place was quiet.

The forest roads are great - 40 mph speed limit and lots of ponies wandering around. One day four deer crossed the road in front of us, followed soon after by three cows who wanted to just walk down the road. Lots of lovely villages, walks, pubs, tea rooms etc. A gentle area, just like the lovely donkeys that wander... More

Great views, loads of places to visit and brilliant for a bike ride. Had some lovely food while we were here. May be I shouldn't have been surprised by the quality of food but I was. Almost like not being in England.

If you’re a nature lover and someone who likes good long walks, the new Forrest is the place for you, it has beautiful scenery and more I personally wouldn’t go over the summer months as I can see it being very busy but if you don’t mind a little bit of cooler weather early spring is perfect. And the ponies... More

Great walk for a sunny Saturday morning - beautiful views and New Forest ponies. Gets windy. There are wetlands to walk through and they are wet so wear shoes you don't mind getting muddy or boots (not UGGS!).
