A well laid out garden and arboretumn. Lovely walks amongst the magnolias and blossom trees. Diferent sections to the gardens easy to find, every plant labeled and well tendered. Entrance and restuarant in a new building, clean and modern. Toilets good. Staff friendly.

We have just visited these gardens with 2 of our grandchildren who did an Easter egg hunt...such fun! The gardens are beautifully laid out and clearly much thought has gone into them over the years. The cafe serves reasonably priced good food. I would highly recommend a visit to the gardens and will return in the future!

if you are a keen gardener you will not be disappointed with these gardens whatever time of year you go. I visited today with friends and found the magnolias to be spectacular. Some Camelias were still in bloom and it will soon be the turn of the rhododedrons . The car park was very full, but there is so much... More

We went for a stroll at Hillier's on Sunday 5th. The carpark was extremely busy, but the people just melt away and you don't notice them. We love the new play equipment, but wish there was a little bit more - obviously nobody wants the place to turn in to a playground, but a few more interesting items strategically placed... More

I visited with elderly relatives in March, so had low expectation of what to see. I was wrong. Things to see were pointed out by volunteer and signage. Plenty to see, ease of access with some good paths for electric carts or slow walking. Also plenty of interesting zones and plenty of seat for short rests. Good value. Café serve... More

Went on a Groupon voucher to Hillier Gardens near Romsey. An absolutely brilliant place to go if you want to have a pleasant walk, chill out and relax; tranquil and well organised, we walked for about 90 mins around part of the grounds, probably about 3-4 miles, but you can halve that or double it depending on how much time... Had a wonderful day out at Hillier Gardens, my son enjoyed the treehouse a lot and hunting for mini beasts under the logs. Lots for little ones to do! Lovely family day out!

My husband and I really enjoyed our visit to this beautiful garden. I used my mobility scooter to go round the gardens, and although I could not go everywhere there were many good paths for scooters. It is a huge area and you could take a long time exploring. It would be nice to visit at different times of the... More

The gardens are interesting every day of the year. The guide map will take you to the current top plants. Some places are great one month but a bit lame the rest of the time. I've never once been and not found something in flower. Plenty to entertain the kids. The food is good and reasonable prices. Glad we're members
