I remember when the Rapids was built circa 1990 and little seems to have changed. My wife and I usually visit the SPA and would agree this requires investment, but having visited the fun pools today with our 3 year old, apart from the clear over crowding, everyone had a good time. It's refreshing to visit a pool with a... More

Alot of negative comments but if its that bad it wouldnt be overcrowded. That said the revenue they must be making they should be a able to afford a few needed touch up repairs. We went yesterday, I was pleased being offered a discount for the flume being temporary out of service but this was advertised on there website so... More

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your positive feedback. We have a continuous investment programme and we are planning to upgrade the showers and toilets in the wet side changing rooms as well as the replacement of the rubber crumb flooring around the pool, which will transform the pool surround. We are glad you enjoyed your... More

Didn't even get to go in! Arrived at 10.45 on a Sunday to be told next swim session was 11.25 - too close to lunch time for our 18 month old and too long to wait for the session anyway. Asked when the afternoon sessions are so we could come back after lunch but lady couldn't say - said they... More

Took our kids here yesterday. Though the kids had fun on the slides (adult flume broken) we couldn't get out quick enough. The place is filthy and they let too many people in. Like others on here we found the changing rooms cramped and hot with seemingly 4 showers for 200 people. The council should be ashamed.

Too many people - hard to move in any area of the pool without bumping into people or being bumped into. Long queue for the one slide. Too few cubicles to change in; even fewer were family-sized. Sweltering temperatures in the changing areas.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. If your visit was during a weekend or a school holiday, the centre is likely to be busy. The changing rooms are catering for over 250 visitors an hour during peak periods. Our long term ambition is for a new changing village which will require a significant extension... More

Ok I remember when the Rapids was built and spent 2-3 nights a week there with the swimming club, so am pretty used to the building g, however it's been a few years since I had last been and was excited to take my three year for the first time. I was so disappointed as although the dry wife areas... More

Used to go to the Rapids a lot as a child so I remember how much fun it was however visiting there this week was a sorry let down, it seems nothing has changed there since I was young (I'm now 30). The whole place is run down, the changing rooms, showers and toilets were disgusting. All the fixtures and... More

I spent week 16-35 of my pregnancy going to aquanatal classes here each Monday evening, which were great. Lovely midwife doing them. The place itself needs updating!!! The swimming facilities don't compare to Fleming park or River Park nearby. The ceilings look water damaged in places, there are signs of old and new mismatched repairs and the changing rooms are... Overall this is a good place to swim with a toddler, For two adults and a three year old it cost £15.00 which I felt was quite expensive it was a little run down in places but overall a good place to take a little one - It has a water slide which provided a lot of fun and staff... More

The Rapids was built in 1990 and was refurbished in 2006. So I would say is due another refurbishment soon. Its great fun for the kids my 4 year old loves it. I am not a great fan. We visited when it was very busy, which is not a problem as you are given coloured wrist bands and numbers are... More
