I live right next door so use the park on a regular basis.lovely for a short stroll around the lakes or a train ride if your feeling lazy, which seems to be very popular with all ages, also there's a great cafe on site with friendly staff and a killer breakfast, park is very clean with no litter blowing around,a little bit... This is local to us and a great short visit out for our 5 year old. The railway has special days with Thomas which are a real hit. Normal days are just as good though with cheap returns to Monks Brook where there is children's playground, picnic area and the chance to have a walk by the lake.

Smallish park with some lakes and a model railway. Railway is a little expensive for what it is, but good. Will use a few hours if you go walking and play in the park etc.

Bearing in mind that this set-up has been created mainly by volunteers the experience is extremely smart. Inevitably, given that the line goes round in a loop, it doesn't feel as if you have achieved much, especially if you are on a quick visit rather than breaking the trip half way round for a walk or picnic. I can understand... More

The train ride was good fun for both adults and children and took us round the lakeside park which was bigger than expected. We did not realise you could get off half way round, where there is a picnic area and playground, and then could get a train back later but will do this next time. A little expensive for... More

We had a fantastic day out here. Plenty to see and do. Suitable for children. You can enjoy a picnic, have fun at the park and enjoy a lovely walk around the lake! Good value and greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Will be back to visit again! Thank you!

Good fun on this ride which takes you around the lakeside park. Awesome for little kids to go on and for adults to have a laugh too. Bit expensive for what it is though. Could be bit cheaper and would be good value.

If you like narrow gauge trains, then this could well be for you... Nice selection of trains, runs most weekend, and throughout school holidays... Option to buy single ride or discount for multiple trips, which has a lovely scenic ride, The train tracks runs around and through a beautiful country park. They have special events, which you need to check... More

We first came across this for a Day out wit Thomas. It's a miniature railway and they have Thomas, Gordon and Henry. This works so much better than the other day out with Thomas (with the full size trains) as the kids can relate more to the smaller trains. We had a great time and now pop in when passing... More
