The steam train is delightful - I enjoy the ride as much as my grandchildren! Quite a long track through the park, including a tunnel, with a picnic site, and children's playground at Monks Halt, so you can break your journey, and catch a later train back. The station is well ordered and clean with a cafeteria serving drinks, snacks... More

A great place to take the kids! The circuit for the railway is quite extensive and you can get off at one end to wander or picnic. This is not a bad idea as our grandson got quite stressed as we did the round trip. The tunnel also is quite dark which can be frightening. There is a selection of... More

We took our little boy on one of the themed Thomas the Tank Engine days which was by far one of the best days out we've had with our toddler. He absolutely loved the train rides and the staff were friendly, the cafe was well priced and the food was good. Well worth the £28 we paid for the two... More

We had the misfortune of attending on the May day out with Thomas. £40 for 2 adults and a child. An utter rip off. The added activities other than riding the train (3 trips included in the ticket price) were two tents set up, one with colouring and a plastic train track and another which had the odd show in.... Nice place for (grand)parents to take (grand)kids. A lovely country park, with pond, walking trails, dog park, and miniature railway, with a nice little café for a cuppa and cake after your ride.

Lakeside is a nice place to visit, the railway is fantastic for the kids to take a train ride around lakeside park. Kids loved it. There's a kids park down there which is ok but could do with doing it up a bit. Overall a nice trip out with the family

Our four year old son loves steam trains & as with many attractions/places to go in January, not a lot are open. I came across a leaflet for Eastleigh Railway & i'm glad I did. There are many good points to talk about here, but shall give the very best. Free parking on site, this is always handy especially if... More
