The Hawk Conservancy Trust is a conservation charity and award winning visitor centre that operates in the fields of conservation, education, rehabilitation and research of birds of prey. Set in 22 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow, there are over 150 birds of prey on view, from the tiny Pygmy Owl to the impressive Steller's Sea Eagles! Many of these birds are involved in the spectacular daily flying demonstrations, whilst others are part of important breeding or environmental enrichment projects. Every visitor can hold a British bird of prey and there are extra activities during weekends and school holidays for the younger visitors.

We have visited this attraction with our children during the school holidays. We arrived as it opened and left as it closed, so felt it was great value as a day out. The flying displays are spaced out so that you can watch them all and look at all the other birds as well. The children get a card to... More

This has to be my favourite bird centre ever. This was a visit after a break of 2 years, and it has gone from strength to strength, improvements have been made, a great new restaurant on site to replace the old smaller one but the great work of the place in conservation and helping sick birds goes on. On top... More

I had previously reviewed the Hawk Conservancy which is still outstanding as an attraction and I wanted to further review the amazing half day Birds of Prey experience that my partner has bought for me as a birthday present. The experience was very well organised and led by two enthusiastic handlers who were passionate and knowledgeable about all the birds... More

The Hawk Conservancy provides an opportunity for all ages to get a close up view of a wide range and birds. This experience includes a very close up flying display of some of the larger birds.

We found it to be a fascinating and fun day out. The displays were amazing. I am not keen on caged birds/zoos so despite having lived near The conservancy for a while had not been. I am so glad that I did go. Seeing the work they do, not just for the birds at the conservancy, but also globally in... More

Fun, informative, interesting. You can get a food there too, so a great way to spend a day out with the family.

We often go to the Hawk Conservancy and every time it is great. The shows that lay on are amazing - and the birds are incredible - especially the swooping vultures! A truly worthwhile day out and a great cafe for lunch too!
