Set in 22 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow, there are over 150 birds of prey on view, from the tiny Pygmy Owl to the impressive Steller's Sea Eagles! Many of these birds are involved in the spectacular daily flying demonstrations, whilst others are part of important breeding or environmental enrichment projects. Every visitor can hold a British bird of prey and there are extra activities during weekends and school holidays for the younger visitors. « less

Visited here with the wife, sister-in-law and 14 year old niece. It was a great day out with lots to see and do. The displays are amazing and even though it's not that big a place, we were kept busy for the whole day. Last time I went here I has a child, and I'd forgotten just how amazing it... More

We recently visited the hawk conservancy after meaning to do so for ages, and we weren't disappointed. The place was a really nice environment to walk around and the displays/shows were breathtaking. I don't want to give too much away but coming face to face with a bird complete with 7-8ft wingspan swooping just overhead is an experience you don't... More

One of the best days out we've ever spent, we were so impressed we just wanted to go back again and again so took out membership. We've never seen displays as brilliant and impressive as these and staff, audience and birds all seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves. All the birds are kept in peak condition and live in excellent enclosures,... More

My first but definately not my last visit to this wonderful place. All the shows are amazing and even though the price is a little more than I would normally pay for a day out it was more than worth it. Right up there with swimming with Dolphins. Make sure you arrive in time for first show and they will... More

We saw the bird display at Longleat last year and loved it so decided to see the real thing. It is such a brilliant day out. The staff clearly love what they do and are very passionate about the birds. My boys (10 & 7) were in awe at the displays, and I particularly loved the secretary bird, very entertaining!... More

Just returned from another visit to the Hawk Conservancy. We have been members for several years and sponsor one of the birds, so we are not exactly independent. But the displays are even better this year. The highlight is 14 European kites and 5 vultures in the air simultaneously, with the vultures flying inches over your head. The birds seem... More

Recently took my two young granddaughters to visit....what an absolutely awesome visit. Yes...cost a bit for the day...but worth every penny. Staff were friendly and helpful, the food facilities were good, toilets immaculate! I was a little upset to see large birds of prey turning into the wind with the urge to take off....but when we saw the flying demonstrations....I... More
