Set in 22 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow, there are over 150 birds of prey on view, from the tiny Pygmy Owl to the impressive Steller's Sea Eagles! Many of these birds are involved in the spectacular daily flying demonstrations, whilst others are part of important breeding or environmental enrichment projects. Really good day out. We were extremely lucky with the weather as it was very hot which helped the birds fly (thermals) etc.. The displays were quite immersive with the birds flying amongst the spectators so everyone got a real close up view. Watching the Eagles fly across the valley mid-afternoon was spectacular. We found we had enough time to... More

If you are looking for somewhere to go for the day make it this place. You will see loads of Owls, Hawks, Vultures and Eagles plus much more. All the birds are kept in fabulous conditions and there are three separate flying displays to watch which are amazing and very informative. The staff are all very welcoming and have extensive... What a wonderful place. The site itself if well maintained. There are three main arenas for different types of displays. These displays are fantastic and the birds look beautiful flying about and even swooping down over the crowd. The staff are very knowledgeable and also care greatly for the animals. Aside from the displays there is also opportunities to hold... More

Visited at the end of July with my husband. Totally enjoyed the whole day. The three flying displays are absolutely amazing and it was lovely just to watch all the birds doing what comes naturally. The Trust do a great job of raising awareness about the plight of vultures and I came away seeing these birds in a whole new... More

My first time at the center, although my kids have been here many times. This day was a birthday gift and provided something memorable and completely different to the day job! Arriving first thing, we had drinks, and then immediately went and flew our first bird (an owl). Throughout the day, the birds got bigger and bigger, ending up with... More

This hidden away haven was a great way to break up the journey home. Their flights display was the best I've ever seen; numerous African birds of prey swooping in over our heads, all amazingly trained, and seamlessly done. Would highly recommend to all!

I have been to the Hawk Conservancy many times and despite the familiarity it is always a great day! The day is nicely paced with several flying displays throughout the day which are enhanced by staff who are knowledgable and clearly love what they do. We have quite fussy kids but even they really enjoy a day here which of... More

We had often past the road signs for The Hawk Conservancy Trust but never visited. After seeing the flying display organised by them at Longleat House, we decided to visit and take part in their Birds of Prey Day. The whole experience was amazing, with lots of time to see many of the birds up close and actually handle and... More

On Monday 7 July I went with my husband Roy for his Bird of Prey Experience. He had the most amazing time flying the birds and learning all about them from Mike and James. I was able to observe from a distance. After a picnic lunch our time was our own and we so enjoyed the Valley of the Eagles... More
