The Hawk Conservancy Trust is a conservation charity and award winning visitor centre that operates in the fields of conservation, education, rehabilitation and research of birds of prey. Set in 22 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow, there are over 150 birds of prey on view, from the tiny Pygmy Owl to the impressive Steller's Sea Eagles! Many of these birds are involved in the spectacular daily flying demonstrations, whilst others are part of important breeding or environmental enrichment projects. Every visitor can hold a British bird of prey and there are extra activities during weekends and school holidays for the younger visitors.

This a truly astonishing day out. If you are staying anywhere near Andover you MUST not miss this. Arrive by 11.30 and you will have the opportunity to see bird displays in three different environments. You would not believe how close overhead the birds come. If it is a nice day take a picnic although there us a cafe. This... More

As former reviewers have said: the place is quite tiny, but the displays are something else and really make the whole thing absolutely fantastic. Low flying vultures, dueling Black kites, and long flight path in Sea Eagles. Plus plenty of opportunities to meet the birds on keepers arms and even the chance (if in the right place at the right... My children bought me a full day at the Conservancy for my birthday and wow was it good. Just 5 of us and two excellent leaders. We spent the whole day handling raptors, owls and vultures and by saying handling I mean flying under first class tutors Ryan and Graeme. The birds were in perfect condition and seemed to be... I have been to a few conservancies, but this one was outstanding. If you walk around the birds, it wouldn't take you that long, but if you watch all the air displays and talks, which we did, we were there hours, and said we wanted to go back to watch the later ones. Well worth the money and fantatastic entertainment.

Haven't been here for over ten years but should have come back sooner. They have really improved this venue. The flying displays were just awesome, with birds flying right over our heads, almost like they were remote controlled - which in a way I suppose they are! The new wings over Africa display was excellent too so do make sure... More

I recently had a half-day experience of falcrony at the Hawk Conservancy. The wind was stiff but the two falconers who guided us through our time were excellent - despite their youth. I flew a vulture, an owl a Harris Hawk and a Bald Eagle. It was a thrill to be up close and personal with such magnificent creatures. This... More

Lovely place with lots of birds, shows and opportunities to hold falcons and owls. They also have evening shows in the Winter, which are lovely.

Went along with my son and had a very good time. Though the conservancy is not that big like a zoo, with lots of bird shows going on throughout the day, one doesn't get to know how the day passes by. All the bird shows were amazing and very well conducted by the staff. My son really liked stamping his... More

Spent an enjoyable day here with 2 boys (ages 6 & 8). The three flying displays were great, accompanied by well-informed, enthusiastic and humorous narrations. The boys loved how close the birds flew - everyone ducking as the various vultures, raptors and owls soared within touching distance. Weather was lovely so a good day to see all the different birds... More
