Owner description: The Hawk Conservancy Trust is a conservation charity and award winning visitor centre that operates in the fields of conservation, education, rehabilitation and research of birds of prey. Set in 22 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow, there are over 150 birds of prey on view, from the tiny Pygmy Owl to the impressive Steller's Sea Eagles! Many of these birds are involved in the spectacular daily flying demonstrations, whilst others are part of important breeding or environmental enrichment projects. Every visitor can hold a British bird of prey and there are extra activities during weekends and school holidays for the younger visitors.

Looking for something to do with our three teenage boys while we were staying in Winchester. We found this on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. Plenty to do and see. A number of different shows and activities during the day - each different. We had just arrived from Sydney's summer and it was drizzly and cold but still a... More

Long time away from this fantastic little place. So much has changed, Feathers cafe, the displays and what displays they were that included Vultures would you believe. We missed the first display but not the second. Falcons,Vultures,Black Kites, African Fish Eagle, Snowy Owl, Peregrine Falcon and a wild Red Kite joining in with Black Kites. Absolutely fantastic, simply didn't know... More

Over the years I have seen this attraction grow and develop. As well as the birds on display there are three flying demonstrations throughout the day, each in a different area of the site. As well as being informative they are also extremely witty and the birds displayed are obviously cared for by the dedicated staff. The new restaurant is... More

Cracking evening out, carols, mulled wine, home made mince pies and some wonderful flying dislays by the resident Owls. Factual, fun and informative, even our young lad enjoyed it. First time we've been to an evening event and just as worthwhile as the standard day-time events if a little smaller and more intimate. Great staff and faciities, though at this... More

My 8 year old was given an Owl experience as a gift. Wow is all I can say. A group of six children dissecting owl pellets, finding what the owl had eaten. She loved it, then they flew Turkey vultures, a tawny owl and a beautiful grey owl. As a parent we were given endless opportunities for photos, and had... More

A first class birthday celebration with a knowledgeable leader from the centre. The day started with an owl bringing a birthday message to my granddaughter before all the children had the opportunity to meet an owl at close quarters (on their gloved arm.) The flying display was amazing and the children were allowed to start off the duck race at... More
