A black and white Tudor gem sat in the middle of a Salford estate at the rear Its recently been renovated and new gardens laid out. You can picnic outside or view the artifacts in the interior. Great for families and parking is easy as the car park is at the side. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. Don't forget... More

Ordsall hall, has recently undergone a make over and the improvements have been on the positive side. It used to be a little boring but with the new layout and features it is a great half day out for old and young alike. My wife and I took the grand kids one afternoon in the Easter school holidays and I... More

I've been lucky enough to live close by to Ordsall hall for a number of years now and it is one of my favourite places to visit. It is imaginatively decorated and really gives you a feeling of going back in time. The staff are polite and very knowledgeable, always happy to help. The fact that it is free and... More

My husband found this hidden gem by accident while out on a walk. We then went to visit it together. A tudor hall in the centre of a housing estate! We were greeted by very friendly staff who explained the various areas of the hall, and as I was using my mobility scooter where the lifts were and just to... More

Supremely atmospheric immaculate Tudor Hall run by Salford Council, incongruously found in a housing estate just a few minutes’ drive from the Quays. Several rooms restored to their full glory. Excellent informative tour by Sue, although quite a few information boards/ transfers on the walls, and a small museum-type space with context on the building’s history & survival. Currently a... Fantastic that Salford has retained and maintained this important piece of history in the middle of a council house estate.

Really close to Manchester centre by Metrolink. The hall has recently undergone a complete restoration and is full of furniture built under the Tudors. Oh, and there are ghosts too. The staff is friendly and helpful : special thanks to the lady who gave me a private tour.

Moderately interesting A remnant of old Salford. Spacious environment in midst of sort of barren area.
