This is a stunning medieval building now set in an urban location. A huge amount of restoration and upgrading has recently finished, which has turned the property into an educational centre for children. Quite a lot of the transformation seems out of place, health and safety gone mad! A sign of the times, however, the Hall is definitely worth a... More

I've been going past this place often since I was a little girl and never been before. Good parking facilities, £2 for 2 hours. Free admission with no pressure to donate. Staff were really nice, called us over to give us a map and leaflets, told us what events were on in the hall (soap making and pasta necklaces). Lady... More

A great day out, visually and very educational. Loads to do and look at. All the staff are friendly and are willing to share all their knowledge and stories with you. Props and hands on stuff for the kids and don't forget to look out for the ghost 👻👻. The cafe have lovely food and cakes😀. Keep your eye out... More

Such a beautiful place to visit and very child friendly, the staff and volunteers are the true gems in the building, very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the hall. If going with children I recommend going on the first Sunday of the month when they have 'Tudor's Live!'

We visited during school holidays with the grandchildren. Plenty of activities going on, including craft table, soap making and a treasure hunt. Entrance to the hall was free. Super day out!

We attended the first Open Day and loved it! What a fabulous event. Very in-keeping such as birds of prey and allotment sales. Great brass band with compere. all the volunteers were very welcoming - I hope it's an annual event!

Excellent place to visit for free. I may be slightly biased being born in ordsall and being walking distance to old Trafford.

I visited here with work, so we had booked out the venue and did not do a traditional tour. However, the fantastic day we had there made me keen to return with my family. The hall is a 5 min walk from Exchange Quay metrolink - really easy to find. It's rather oddly placed amongst modern houses and industrial buildings,... More

Nice place to visit part of history to see how the hall was used years ago. Also do ghost haunts here of a night.
