Very small, about an hour I would agree with others. If you are willing to walk for about 5 - 10 minutes, you can find free parking. Worth it if you live in Essex and visit Southend for an afternoon out, but probably not worth it if this is the only reason to go. Staff friendly and helpful.

Came here with my husband and my son. Handed nearly £20 over to a very miserable receptionist, and recieved a small bit of paper, with feeding/exhibit talk times, may as well have been handwritten. A lot of tanks didn't look very well maintained and many looked too small for the animals inside. We didn't see a member of staff once... More

Its not very big and does not take that long to get around, however my 3 young children had a lovely time. They do have some lovely fish. I think the main thing I liked is the fact that the staff were so polite and enthusiastic...not something you get very often these days, its amazing how this can make a... More

Parking charges were £4.30 for 4 hours. January 2015 visit. Would recommend you buy tickets online as it works out a lot cheaper, for 2 adults and 2 children we paid £23.50. Saved £10.00 or so. It didn't take very long at all to go around, under a hour, but we loved it. Can go round as many times as... More

It isn't the biggest aquarium, certainly not London but it does the job. My two year loves going there. The staff are always so polite and helpful, we have taken out the membership as its such good value for money. Parking is always cheap and plenty of spaces.

My kids love fish, crabs and creepy crawlies. It's quite small we usually take about 45 mins to get round the displays then have lunch in the cafe, keeps them happy for a morning weekends or school hols. The annual pass makes it great value, the staff are amazing so friendly & helpful. Been coming here for over 10 years... More

On arriving the external building does look like it needs a bit of renovation but that is not the reason you visit. internally you can see they take great pride as they it was extremely clean and tidy and the staff that worked here were all very professional and appeared to have great pride in working there. The varying species... More

We were a party of 2 adults, two 6 year olds and a 15 year old. We all enjoyed, the shop was reasonably priced and the staff were brilliant. A great place to go on a cold afternoon and was the highlight of our trip. Only downside was a lack of interactivity which would have appealed to the younger children.

My 2.5 yr old daughter really enjoyed this, it's the first time she's ever been to an aquarium and it took just the right amount of time to go round it for her, she was very excited the whole time! My only criticism is that the cafe (open to the public) is quite pricy for lunch (£10 for 1 fish... More

Both myself and my family including my two year old son are members at the sea-life center. We visit at least every fortnight as my son loves wondering around looking at all the fish and reptiles. We really are very lucky that such a fantastic family friendly attraction so close to where we live and provided at a reasonable price.... More
