My 2.5 yr old daughter really enjoyed this, it's the first time she's ever been to an aquarium and it took just the right amount of time to go round it for her, she was very excited the whole time! My only criticism is that the cafe (open to the public) is quite pricy for lunch (£10 for 1 fish... More

Both myself and my family including my two year old son are members at the sea-life center. We visit at least every fortnight as my son loves wondering around looking at all the fish and reptiles. We really are very lucky that such a fantastic family friendly attraction so close to where we live and provided at a reasonable price.... More

Fantastic visit. It's great for kids, and will keep any genuinely interested adult happy too. Don't go expecting killer whale shows and penguin feeding, or you will come away disappointed. Plenty of different types of fish and sea creatures to see and read about. There are turtles and reptiles and frogs too. Even a (shy) caiman. The star attraction is... More

We went for a visit with our 2 year old on a cold Saturday afternoon. We used some tesco clubcard vouchers to pay for most of our entrance cost and I am glad we did as otherwise it would have cost us about £26 (our 2 year old is just over 0.90m and so we had to pay for him... More

We found that we really enjoyed the Centre. Our daughter particularly found the fish and tanks fascinating. It took us an hour and a half to walk through as she was having such fun! We found the staff friendly and welcoming and the layout perfect for our 3 year old. We will definitely visit again.

This isn't the biggest aquarium type place in the world but it's informative, friendly and fun. We went to the Monterey Aquarium in California this summer so weren't expecting much from this little place on Southend Seafront! However, we were surprised by the range of creatures that can be found around our own coastline. The ray display was very interesting... More

I was impressed by the mini talks the staff gave throughout the day. This added to my knowledge and enjoyment. The site is well laid out and there are lots of helpful info boards. The staff were very welcoming and friendly when we arrived and very helpful as went walked around. I was impressed by the friendliness of the place... More

I bought online tickets to get a discount on the tickets and I am glad I did, as I would have been thoroughly disappointed if I would have paid full price. We walked around the center in 30 minutes (slow walking). Having read other reviews online I had a different impression of what I thought the aquarium would be, it... More

Family had a great time. Great location and had fun, highlight of the week for my kids. We booked online and were me by a very polite and helpful staff. For the size of the aquarium they have done a great job.

Great day out. My kids have been coming here for many years. hey now have jellyfish! Onsite café, shop, have an area for looking after sick marine life that you can walk through, large ray tank and a walk through glass tank containing hundreds of fish and sharks.
