We visited the Park, stable block and house. The grounds were lovely for a walk. The cafe was too busy and we went to the tea rooms at the Garden Nursery just along the way. The Stableblock was interesting but the shop was a little run of the mill with some of the usual and often seen things for sale.... More

Nice Place for a Walk with a bit of Tea & Cake. usually holds good events for children though-out the year. Good Childs place area, nice cafe, excellant grounds More

My friend and I stopped off and had a piece of carrot cake and coffee and walnut and a lovey pot of tea absolutely Delicious moist and a nice piece for the price. More

My son held his wedding and reception here and that was a perfect day so my views may well be coloured by the delight of that day but I recommend anyone to go and visit both the house and the grounds. Hylands House is a beautiful, striking country house surrounded by hundreds of acres of mature parkland. The grounds are always open to the general public, the house is i believe open on an occasional basis. Unfortunately, the house is still in the process of restoration so can seem a little lacking in things to see, but the grounds are extensive and great for walking etc - facilities in the old stables are fine, with the cafe/restaurant good value. More
