As a member, I am able to get in for free with a guest which makes it super value for money. The visit today included the flower show. Although there were more people then usual, the stalls were great with lots of unusual plants on offer. Plus the gardens are open as usual so there was plenty of space for... More

This is our 4th visit to Hyde Hall, yet our first time in the summer season and what a treat!! The grounds are always immaculate and extremely inspiring. The play park is a superb addition for the children. The tea rooms offers great service - although a little pricey, it's a nice treat. And the gift shop... Wow!! A must!!!... More

Another lovely visit to Hyde Hall. Always come away with lots of inspiration. Love the way they put benches in little nooks and crannies so you can retreat from the blazing sunshine, or take a blanket and sit on lots of grassy areas for a well-deserved rest after all the walking around. The staff are so friendly and the shop... More

Visited here with friends at the weekend. First visit in ages so really impressed with the improvements to the facilities - new parking, restaurant, gift shop, reception and plant shop since we were last here. Gardens have also been extended and improved; although many of the summer blooms are fading there is still a lot to enjoy in the diverse... More

We arrived shortly after opening on a July Sunday morning. The welcoming receptionist gave us a map and explained the layout. The garden was looking fantastic and we visited almost everything before having a snack lunch in the Barn restaurant courtyard. Really enjoyed the vegetable garden, NZ and Australia beds and of course the famous dry beds. There were no... More

RHS Hyde Hall is the only RHS garden in this area & is well worth a visit ! It is situated on the top of a hill in one of the driest areas in Essex. There is a very large user friendly car park which is adjacent to the very modern gift shop & restaurant & plant sales area. Once... More

Glorious views over the countryside from just about everywhere from the time we stepped out into the car park. Beautiful floral displays, pretty well maintained considering the area and the fact we only saw two gardeners at work the whole time we were there. Great pity that not all plants were labelled; so disappointing for those of us who have... More

We hadn't been for a while and were pleasantly surprised by some of the changes, and the familiarity of the things we love. Went with a 3 yo and 6 yo, both who really enjoyed the new kids play area, with seating for the parents :-) the gardens are a delight, and a wonderful balance of quite spaces to wander,... More
