Visited on BH Monday with my 3 children. It was busy the whole area gardens etc beautiful and quite good natural play area. We also flew our kite. What was an awful shame was if you wanted to spend money in one of the eateries there were 30 minute queues everywhere they ran out of bread the ice team can... More

As regular visitors to Hyde Hall and RHS members we enjoy visits to the garden however the catering facilities are variable at best and today they managed to surpass themselves in terms of incompetent management and planning. Despite a well publicised event of a craft fair this weekend there was no extra provision for catering apart from one ice cream... More

We went here for the day in March but the cost to upgrade to full-year membership of the RHS was not a lot so we joined. Since doing that we've also visited Harlow Carr in Harrogate and came back to Hyde Hall in April and were amazed at the difference a day makes. We are keen to keep coming back... More

The grounds are really large and one could easily spend the whole day here. Great for picnics in the summer month and good for kids. There is am outdoor play area for younger kids and plenty of space to kick a ball around. For plant enthusiasts the area had an abundance of diversity and all very well labelled. There is... More

Brilliant gardens, A large beautiful fish and lily pond. The roses are exceptional and so many varieties of flowers, shrubs etc. Nice walks through the gardens. You feel like you are right out in the countryside.A restaurant to get refreshment, although I do think some food is pricey.

Hyde hall gardens is a lovely place to relax. They have a good selection of shows, exhibitions, and practical days. In the summer, if you want, you can just take a blanket and picnic and have plenty of room around you to relax.

My wife and I spent about five hours wandering around these lovely botanical gardens. My favourite area was the dry garden.
