Hyde Hall is a little gem of a place to visit. The gardens are lovely throughout the year and there are always different things to see and do. The cafe's are good, though they do get busy and so you need to time your visit to ensure you get served quickly.

Visited the gardens on their Free Day as we hadn't been there for a long time. There have been big changes and improvements to the site. The welcome was warm and friendly and we were given a map of the site and told what was happening. The shop and restaurant is huge and well stocked. The gardens themselves were a... More

I loved Hyde Hall and prefer it to Wisley it is a garden of great charm and would like to go again. Staff friendly and very helpful and willing to talk about the plants. However it was an experience getting there by public transport! The number 3 bus Chelmsford to Southend is difficult to catch as it does not stop... More

A lovely place to visit at any time of the year. Good tea rooms and shop for a stop over. If you like photography, like me, it's a wonderful place to visit to get some flower shots.
