Not a huge pier. But a pleasant walk and a decent cuppa little shop has some nice items but slightly more expensive than the adjacent town

I like the fact that it is a recently constructed pier with quirky amusements, good food outlets and tasteful mementos in the shop. There is also a small amusement arcade.

Worth a walk along the pier. The clock is an interesting attraction and there are good views of the coast from the end.

Southwold pier provides a great view point for the small towns famous beach huts and has a lot of draw for people wanting food (3 cafe's not including the chip shop on the promenade) and gifts (another 3 shops, including seaweed and salt that has seasonal gifts and designer type bags and accessories). There's the whacky end of the pier... More

As a regular visitor to Southwold which I love, this is the second time I have had occasion to use the public toilets in the car park adjacent to the pier. It is such a shame that such a delightful seaside town should have such appallingly filthy toilets. It wasn't even that late in the day we arrived - around... More

Not to be missed if you are visiting Southwold. Very good pier with something for everyone. There are games, cafe, restaurant and shops. So you can stay from 1 - 3 hours depending on what you do. There is no charge for visiting the pier which is a bonus.

It's not the biggest or oldest or brashest pier, but it must be one of the most interesting, quirky and generally lovely piers in England. Although it as at the northern end of Southwold it is the heart of what the town is about. A real must see and effortless to enjoy in lots of different ways. If you want... More

Love the quirky amusement arcade where we go on our "Mini Break Holiday" at £1 a time!!! We have coffee and wander round the souvenir shop. Then we look at the mechanical water clock, which keeps lousy time, but who cares?
