The pier was rebuilt a few years ago and is delightful. The really great part is the PIER SHOW a quirky place where you can interact with old fashioned mini activities like taking a dog for a walk, an armchair holiday, bash the banker. It is so funny! Boardwalk restaurant is super with stunning views both sides. All the shops... More

Southwold has not caught up with modern times where you have kiss me quick hats and fun fairs, etc.The pier looks Victorian, but modern. The restaurants not only serve good quality food, you can also just get a coffee,as you would in Costa Coffee, etc .The seating area can be inside or outside depending on the weather and the tables... What a lovely little pier. The beach is so clean. The surrounding area is so pretty. The day passed by so quickly. So may quirky little places to see.

Restaurants expensive and gift shops overpriced. And people taking their dogs in gift shops which is not acceptable while lots of people walking round.

Visted Southwold on Friday, very nice beach just the shingles let it down. Pier cafe very expensive (£2 for a bottle of pop)

Great to be able to wander along this lovely pier. There's a range of eateries and gift shops and the under the pier show!

Beautiful little shops with many curious gifts. You have to try the strange but appealing "under the pier show", never come across something like this before but so much fun. The tea shop is a must, huge pots of tea and lovely cakes. A must for any visitor to Southwold.

I've taken our two kids to the pier a couple of times when we've stayed with my parents in Suffolk and they love it. Yes you've got the typical amusement arcade at the front, but they particularly liked the oddball quirky amusements located further out along the pier, plus the ice cream with various non-mainstream flavours to choose from.

Southwold pier is fairly new and it shows; the pier is well maintained. It has a small amusements arcade at the entrance and a nice cafe / restaurant immediately behind. Along the pier are a range of shops selling the usual seaside souvenirs although these are a better quality than some piers we've visited. The pier is not too long... More

Not all that impressed by this attraction. Maybe had the weather been nicer that impression may have lifted. Was raining and very windy during the visit. Overall did not get a warm feeling about the place in general.
