We visited Southwold pier on a very windy February day but still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was very bracing but fun. All of the facilities were open and we enjoyed a welcome cup of tea and sandwich in the café half way down the pier.

We visited the pier today after lunch at the boardwalk restaurant. The mirrors are good fun and also the old fashioned entertainment. Great place to visit.

Lovely to have a long stroll. A few nice cafes, restaurants and shops along the pier. Not tacky at all. Lovely place to visit - follow up with a stroll along the lovely sandy beach.

Wonderful, quirky, interesting Pier, full of great sustanable ideas. Other British Piers that are struggling to attract visitors would do well to look at the model here. An absolute pleasure to visit and spend time even on a blustery day

Not simply your run of the mill shoddy seaside pier to be honest. A few very tastefully stocked stores set in a nice clean environment. I can see my 9 year old self having a highly memorable holiday here, (52 now though). We also travelled into town and had fish and chips, always a must when here.

Southwold is a fantastic place to visit. If it was closer I'd probably visit every weekend - I love the quirky arcade on the pier as well as the little "normal" arcade as such, there's so much yummy food (ice cream, fish and chips, scones etc) that are most definitely worth a try. It's such a clean, happy place to... More

It has been rebranded and revamped since last I was here 20 years ago but the arcade of mechanical toys is still here and thriving.

A great place to see the horizon from the sea in a restored pier and the prominence of the lighthouse which hangs over the village and gives a striking view

Who cannot enjoy a walk on a pier and Southwold's is no exception. Plenty to do and see and three tea rooms to assist your walk round the pier.
