What a lovely place to visit. We really enjoyed it. Spent hours just sitting and watching the huge ships sail in and out of the port. Their is even a coffee shop for some light refreshments.

Having visited a relative who has a static van on the site, we thought we'd bring our Tourer for the weekend. We were not disappointed! Facilities are first rate, the staff will bend over backwards to help and the residents are just as friendly. There is no club or arcades for the young ones, but that is all available along... More

The weather when it rains is not helpful so this is the only dislike. The place is so interesting watching the large container ships coming in and out and the others going up on route to Ipswich and Mistley. Plenty of work going on in the docks and a continue procession of lorries being loaded and unloaded. terrific to see... More

The size of container ships handled at this port can only be described as amazing. And the dockside is currently being extended - well worth a visit

It is not possible to see very much of the actual port operation but to see some of the world's largest container ships in action is just fantastic. Always an enjoyable experience, and much better since the small... More

Foot ferry was a good experience and great for watching the ferries for little ones. The misty day added to the feel of the place.

There is no public access to the docks. There is a viewing point just to the south with car park. From here you can get a panoramic view of Harwich Harbour & watch the tug boats towing the giant container ships in & out of port

We've never been to an actual functioning commercial port before but seeing this one makes you appreciate how most of our stuff arrives in the country. You thought the containers were huge - just wait until you see the cranes - they are enormous feats of engineering. Luckily there's a cafe on site so you can watch the port from... More
