Peaceful tranquillity one of the best Caravan parks available great for touring vans facility's second to none only two letting static vans all the rest are privately owned. Beautiful site set in lovely surroundings.

A bleak, windy viewing area reached by a road thats got more speed humps than herd of camels. When you get there, there isn't much to see, unless you are lucky enough to see a ship come in or out. Personally, if I never see it again I'd be very happy.

Would have liked to see more of the old town which is worth visiting. Port is huge but is vulnerable to whether conditions and road system needs some maintenance. Of interest if it relates to your business or particular hobby.

if you check with the local press, radio or information bureau you will be able to find out which container ships are due in, some being the biggest in the world. you can sit next to the docks on the beach or in the café where you can watch the ship to shore cranes load and unload the ships.

Industry in action plus the best cafe for refreshments. At certain times of the year you can use the foot ferry to and fro to Harwich (and there is some room for bikes). Good all round trip!

A fascinating encapsulation of what makes the world go round - containers loaded by massive gantry cranes that make them look like match boxes.

This is a great place to take the kids, they can see how the docks work. You can take a picnic and watch the boats coming in and out or have a cup of tea at the new restaurant there. Very interesting to visit

if you like watching the container ships come in this is a good place to go! it has free car parking which is a bonus! there is also a cafe on site which we belive is expensive but we didn't try it.

Maybe i am not the right person to write this here, as I need to join a vessel here. been here many times, and I still like the port as general here is good service and a nice seamens club. Also easy to go to the city even there is not much to do, but only to have a break

There is a visitor centre and a cafe at the side of a large car park which overlooks the port. From the front row of the car park, if the weather isn't too good, you can look over to Harwich and also see large container ships being loaded/unloaded. There is seating available and a walk along the estuary brings you... More
