Really good views and great for watching the ferries for little ones

Foot ferry was a good experience and great for watching the ferries for little ones. The misty day added to the feel of the place.

There is no public access to the docks. There is a viewing point just to the south with car park. From here you can get a panoramic view of Harwich Harbour & watch the tug boats towing the giant container ships in & out of port

We've never been to an actual functioning commercial port before but seeing this one makes you appreciate how most of our stuff arrives in the country. You thought the containers were huge - just wait until you see the cranes - they are enormous feats of engineering. Luckily there's a cafe on site so you can watch the port from... More

Had a lovely walk past the docks and was so impose with the scale and buzz of the place. There is an excellent viewing area near land guard fort and the views are superb. Love the massive cranes and the helper skeleton of containers being unloaded. Well worth a look.

Used the overnight car ferry to Holland. This was my 4th time to use this service and I am always impressed with the service. Parking your car into the ferry was easy and getting to your room was easy but best to use the lift. My room had 2 x singles beds, shower and a TV plus all the fruits... More

I sat and watched the sun setting over the docs with my partner and camera ready to snap some photos! We spent 4 hours there just watching ships go in and out and the docks working.

The port of Felixstowe has many unique view points, you can watch in awe as some of the largest container vessels dock and unload, or you can look across the estuary to Harwich, or you can wander around the natural peninsula around landguard fort, History, wildlife and modern docks ! Unique and well worth a visit. A small cafe near... More
