This was our first visit to Pensthorpe when the children were at an age where they could walk the distance without the constant moaning. We took them to the Wild Rootz area first thing so they could play before it got too hot. An absolutely amazing play area which really sparks the imagination. My only complaint would be the lack... We visited Pensthorpe with my Grandma, mum and 3 young children so ages ranging from 1 to 83. there's not many places 4 generations can have a family day out and all get so much enjoyment. The children saw the amazing adventure play area from the car park and couldn't wait to go in. As soon as they saw all... More

Visited here recently and had a great time. beautiful gardens and wild (tame) wildlife to feed. they're so tame they wait near the door and mob you as you go through. a great fun time was spent here.

Hi there, thanks for your review. I'm sure loved being fed. The daily 4pm feed is fascinating to watch if you have time on your next visit, they mob our wardens too! Thanks again for telling us about your day. Hope to see you again soon. More

The site is extensive--huge! We did a Wensum Tour in a tractor driven trailer. We were led by a wildlife expert who was very knowledgeable, but also so much fun!! Fantastic hour! (Thurday 17th of July.) The aviary with more local birds, which can be very difficult to see in the wild, was fantastic. Can still hear the delightful sound... More

Really good day out, nice cafe and for our kids the highlight was a large and varied adventure type playground. Was about £38 for a family of 4 but well worth it

Thank you so much for your review, It's great to hear you all enjoyed yourselves and the kids had fun in WildRootz! We're very excited to say that in spring 2015 we will be launching indoor play which will naturally integrate with the style of WildRootz. Thanks again for telling us about your visit, we hope to see you again... More

Stayed with friends in the Cambridgeshire area and they took us to Pensthorpe for the day. What a treat! Such a picturesque place. The lakes were beautiful and the flower beds so lovely. Lots of interesting wildlife to see. Excellent coffee shop and gift shop. Truly wonderful experience with something for all the family. Can't wait to visit again!

We visited here as a family of 3generations. There is so much to do, and you can clearly see so much money, time, care and attention has been spent on the reserve. Grandparents went for long walks around the reserve while we took the children to do some pond dipping and then for a play at wild rootz which is... More

We should have moved house today but we were told 24 hours before that it had to be delayed until Friday 13th so rather than staying at home surrounded by boxes we thought we would have a day out and chose Pensthorpe as I had wanted to visit it since it had hosted Spring Watch a few years ago. One... More

We were on our way home to Nottinghamshire after visiting family in Suffolk so we just called in here. It was lovely for a wander round and our 3 year old loved looking at all the wildlife. We would definitely like to visit again and spend longer here. We enjoyed the safari trip and were lucky enough to see some... More
