admission is approx £9 not too bad in this day and age. the gardens are pleasant but of course the main reason for attending here are the birds and squirrels. a great day for photographers and twitchers alike. do go down to the crane hides which at present are nesting. the squirrels can been elusive. have some lunch, food is... We visited Pensthorpe having seen it on "Springwatch" . It didn't quite live up to that, (we didn't have the time or skills to find as many birds as they did!) but on a lovely day it proved a very enjoyable experience with excellent facilities and worth the money.

I took the bus from King's Lynn which stops very conveniently just outside the entrance to the Wildlife Park and Gardens - just ask the driver where to stop and he will stop the bus for you. Bring a camera, waterproofs, stout walking shoes and binoculars. There is lots to see and do here, in wet weather as well as... More

We are fairly regular visits to Pensthorpe although sometimes we go just for lunch or coffee and a look at the gift shop. The reserve is well laid out and interesting and it is easy to spend a whole day looking round if time permits. The cafe and gift shop are always popular with us too!

This was my first visit to Pensthorpe and I was very impressed. The spent time in the lovely bird reserve, lots of time in the lovely shop with very tasteful gifts and household items - very tempting. The cafe was very good and the prices were very reasonable. Everything is very tasteful and it makes it a really enjoyable place... More

My wife and I visited Pensthorpe whilst on holiday in Norfolk and after we had seen it featured on Springwatch. We arrived just as it opened and left at about 5pm, not expecting to stay there for so long. What a wonderful place, just don't understand the negative reviews - it's definately worth a tenner for a ful day out.... More

We have been to Pensthorpe a few times and have always enjoyed our experience. We enjoy the chance to take a nice walk, at least a good 2 hours if you do the long trail. The most exciting bit is walking along with ducks and other fine birds as companions!! We always get seeds and as soon as they realise... More

Great day out even on the coldest of Easter Sundays. Can't wait to come back in the summer to see the flora of the woodland and meadows. Plenty to see in the park even in winter though as there are many species of duck, goose, swan and even cranes to look at on the water and even the smaller birds... More

This place is a must see. Plenty of wildlife, superb café and shopping! What more could one want? Having bird feeders within view of hides means that you are almost guaranteed a good sighting; and the whole place is so well laid out. Even in the rain, sleet and subsequent snow last weekend, it was still a very enjoyable day... More

The Christmas displays in the shop are fabby and I always find gifts for everyone here. I love that I can go and watch the feeding at dusk at the same time.
