I had an outstanding day trip to Pensthorpe Natural Park, during my holiday in Wells! The staff were excellent, very friendly, happy and helpful (especially the reception team). We had a meal from the cafe, which to my delight, was the best meal of the entire holiday! The coleslaw was to die for! The park itself was absolutely breathtaking, walking... More

We have visited several times since the early 90s and enjoyed walking by the river Wensum and observing many interesting species. We were shocked by the prices this year (£11.25 each), we haven't visited since 2010 and won't be able to return as often as we would like because we simply can't afford it, such a shame.

My first impression was how well kept the long driveway to the Park was and on pulling up in the car park this impression was further compounded. On entering the shop we were greeted by two very friendly staff who took the time to explain about the Park, where we could walk, where the toilets were etc. The Park itself... More

With loads of unbelievably tame waterfowl, captive red squirrels, and a wonderful play area, Pensthorpe is great for children. But it's also a lovely spot for walking and watching nature, and no matter how crowded the car park, the far side of the park is always tranquil. The Millennium Garden is a must in the summer, and the cafe is... More

Located just outside Fakenham this large area of lakes and open spaces (including manicured gardens) provides a wonderful day out (2-4 hours recommended) in good weather. Admission is £11.25 for adults (concessions available) and there is also a cafe / gift shop. While some of the fowl are clipped wing / contained area, there is also plenty of open space... More

Had an amazing time at Pensthorpe. The Staff were superb Customer service was second to none. I believe that Staff who speak as highly about their employer as they do, must have a fantastic and empowering employer. Truly lovely day, cannot wait to bring my grandchildren along. Great facilities, and such care for our countryside and the future generations care... More

Had a really lovely full day at Pensthorpe. We have been before but didn't go on the Wensum Tour, so thought we would do so this trip. The land rover and trailer take guests around the reserve, covering parts the general public can't go. It takes you to the furthest areas, so if you don't want to or can't walk... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, the gardens are beautiful and the walks around the lakes are well laid out and accessible. The ability to see the birds at close quarters meant that we have some lovely photos which would have been difficult without expensive equipment to see otherwise. We thought that we would be there for a couple of hours... More

We visited Pensthorpe for a second time last week, and although it is quite expensive, it is good vale for money. The wildlife is amazing, and some of the types birds I had never come across before. The landscaping is really well thought out, and the Lilly pond is particularly charming. Our children love playing in the Wild Woodz, which... More
