Its a great day out, lots to see and do for all ages, a great big play park for the kids as well. Not too pricey either. Big parking area with facilities for disabled visitors. There are many birds to see and watch, or you can just walk around following paths. They have Red Squirrels as well and are part... More

Visited recently with family, 3 generations. Foolishly went on the wensum tour which was basically a ride around a few fields and woods which surround the main attraction. We may have been unlucky but we saw no wildlife save a few cows and sheep. The vehicle was uncomfortable and open to the elements. The main attraction was good as was... More

A very enjoyable day out in the fresh air enjoying the wildlife. Not so good if raining! Easy walking as there are very few (gentle) gradients. I didn't think the admission price was outrageous, given the huge ongoing investment needed to run the place.

This is quite a hard review to write really as pensthorpe is really beautiful but I found that the entry price didn't really reflect what you were getting. Having a child of 10 and another who is 3 I thought they would really enjoy the play area and whilst the 10 year old loved it my youngest struggled to use... More

We really enjoyed our day at Pensthorpe - the setting is beautiful, and the land rover tour was really interesting. The children's adventure playground is amazing - and even our 11 and 15 year old found plenty to entertain them there. The whole thing was more polished and fancy than we were expecting - but, boy do you pay for... More

Had a fantastic day out with the family, loads to see and do for all ages. Cafe great as it has a gluten free option which is a rarity but food is expensive on top of the entrance fee. If you want to take a picnic there are loads of places to sit and eat and soak up the peace... More

Very pleasant few hours spent walking around the lake and playing in the Adventure playground. Definitely worth visiting once but not sure you could justify more than that. Using Tesco vouchers made the visit very affordable. As has been said previously there is not too much to see apart from lots of different birds - great if you like birds... More

My family and I had a great day out at Pensthorpe earlier in August 2014. We all had a lovely time, especially our two children in the amazing play area (i think it has to be the biggest and best I have ever seen). There is plenty to do and it took us a whole day to explore everything. We... More

We had a pleasant day out at Pensthorpe today. It was well presented, and very clean and tidy. Not too busy with people either. However, it did seem very quiet with very little wildlife around. Plenty of dragonflies and damselflies around which was lovely. Very few waders to see. it was a cloudy/sunny day, so perhaps that made a difference.... More

I took my daughter along this bank holiday weekend to the "Mediaeval Spectacular" I had set off with my club card vouchers in hand as thought it would be a good use of them, to be told when I arrived that vouchers were not being accepted for the weekend event, so it cost £11.95 for myself and £8.00 for my...
