This waterfall located close to Shillong on the way to Cherrapunji is beautiful, 3 staged cascade and absolutely safe to visit, even with kids.

Vey littile water flowing during March. Probably in rainy season, it would be worth visiting. Not worth visiting in other seasons.

The place would be very good in rainy season to see the waterfalls in full flow. However in March, there is little to see. The only interesting item is the shop where you can get you pics clicked in traditional Meghalaya attire.

We visited this place in december last year....though the best time is just after monsoon. Elephnt falls are located on the outskirt of the city on your way to shillong peak. It is waterfall divided into 3 steps. Good place to visit for picnic. Their are stairs on the way, so might be a problem for old aged visitor. It... More

the name really has not significance. it is a series of 3 waterfalls but the first two as you descend down are very very small. the last one which is the lowest and a walk downwards is also not very spectacular. Alright for a few photoshoots.

Really nice peaceful place. Clean and well maintained. The waterfall was amazing, even in the dry season. Must see!

There are 3 falls in this. Since we visited in March, hence the flow of water definitely was not that good. The authorities have made the steps concretised and hence it is much easier to go down and climb up the steps. Cleanliness in the accumulated water at the bottom most area need to be seen.

This being the dry season in Shillong the waterfalls hardly have enough water to qualify as falls! Elephant falls are in 3 parts & there's flowing water, but its no different from hundreds of other similar falls. They get their name from an elephant shaped rock nearby, which has since been destroyed.
