It's quite a treat to see the first set of waterfalls on your way to Cherrapunjee. Not exceptional but why miss?

A 3 tiered falls very close to Shillong. There is access to each tier of these falls from the entrance all the way down. Have to navigate a 100 odd steps though. After seeing falls around Cherrapunji, this was just OK for us. Good for people who don't want to trek much, or have some time to spare in Shillong.... More

One can't imagine what one is to face when one approaches this place. As one climbs down the well kept path, the beauty of the place starts revealing. Click, click, click went off my camera and other peoples too. When one reaches the bottom, the urge to get under the fall is irresistable. One poses with the backdrop of the... More

nice falls. gets picturesque as you go down the 3 levels. there is no elephant here though...apparently the rock was destroyed in the 1897 earthquake.

There are several water falls in and around Shillong city but the best one is Elephanta falls . One must definitely visit this water fall which is unique.

Beautiful falls. You need to go down a number of steep steps to go near the falls. Worth taking the trouble. People with knee problems better avoid going down. Very good for photography.

One of the best waterfalls in this region. It has well laid steps all the way to the bottom. There is a park as well. One can get best view of the waterfalls from here. The water was really cold.
