This place just has two miniscule waterfalls which is just OK in nature. The worst part is that you have to climb down about 150 uneven stairs just to get the glimpse of the water bed.

The scenic beauty with arrangement to seat in the serenity of nature. Though might not be very enjoyable for the travellers with pain in their knees as there are steps which leads you down about 300mtrs

The waterfalls is always flowing even in summers. During the rain season its a wonderful sight as the water is gushing through. One can walk down the steps to get a better view of the falls. There are small tea stalls ...can have hot tea and other snacks. A must visit if coming to Shillong.

The entry to this cave is very nice. You have to go down quite a bit but the effort is worth it as you are greeted by mesmerizing beauty. A must visit if you are going to meghalaya.

These falls are located on the outskirts of Shillong. There was adequate water in the falls when we visited in November 2013. This is a three level waterfall wherein you have to climb down steps to reach each of the levels. The sound of falling water coupled with surrounding greenery and vibrancy of tourists and locals make it a good... More

There are 3 steps in this waterfall. If you can reach the lowest step then you can get the full view of the huge waterfall. Take time and go slowly.

Not enough water and way too many people. It also has steep steps so those of you with elderly family, plan accordingly. It might be difficult for them. Loads of shops outside. the typical souvenir variety. Food / water / Maggi all sold at prices > MRP. Excesses range from Rs 5-20 per item.

There are 3 levels of the Elephant Falls. It's a bit of walk on the big concrete steps, but not really a problem unless you are out of shape.

If somebody has never experienced a cascading waterfall, elephant waterfall can be a good option for them. But otherwise...the artificial pool that has been made at the bottom most potion of the waterfall....the concrete stairs that takes one to the bottom kills the natural beauty of the falls. They say the name is depicted from an elephant-shaped rock that used... More
