I don't see any waterfall worth speaking of. If you had nothing to do and bored and never see this one visit it. Google will you 74km by car but thats not whay happen, its more and exciting on the way.The village is nice and clean.living root is worth seeing. But to me the wildness is something than the tourist spots.

What do they mean by waterfall? The place where the living root bridge is situated? That was very touristic and all along the few hundred meters down to the bridge there were stalls for tourists, mainly with fruit. Quite a contrast with the double decker bridge at Cherrapunjee where we saw absolutely no one because it is quite a walk... More

The entire village of Mawlynnong is worth paying a visit... Its called the cleanest village of Asia and it stands tall in its fame for that.. I remember dropping a small hairband under my car when we reached the place and by the time we reached back the band was cleaned for below the car :P The village has a... More

We visited this lovely village from Jowai via Dawki. Its apparently the cleanest village in Asia and is very pretty with cottages, gardens and lovely people. Skipped the skywalk at the entrance as it was teeming with furry caterpillars! Stroll around the village and visit the root bridges (be careful, can be slippery and slightly steep walk down). Lunch at... More

The road to Mawlynnong attracted us much than the actual site. And before 2 KMs of reaching the village there is another small village called Riwai, Raid Lyngkhat with a Living Root Bridge, just need to be careful in the rainy season on slippery makeshift stone staircase, which needs a walk for 200 mtrs. A must visit with local beautiful... More

I would rather write a review for Mawlynnong village. I visited this place recently. There are only two attractions in this place. The living roots bridge and the view point. If you travel in monsoon then you wont be able to see anything from the view point, it will be too foggy. I think the village is bit hyped by... More

I am little confused over the title waterfall. It should be village. however Mawlynlong is Asia's cleanest village. But thats it I thing. What is meant by clean is rather confusing to me and to realise it , I drive arond 100 Km from Shillong to see what is that. Its a nice semi urban village and its clean no... More

The name should be Mawlynnong village..Asia's cleanest village and the living root bridge. Living root bridges are very rare and available only in meghalaya. This one is only 10 mins walking by the mountain, and you land in the bridge..the place is so beautiful...you should never miss it. It is quite far from Shillong city, almost 120 km drive in... More
