Sweet falls, really sweet

This is ~ 12-14 kms away from Shillong city. Did not feel it was much since I liked this much better than the elephant falls, though we cannot reach anywhere near the falls. All... read more

Again, another place which is listed in the must visit in Shillong. I went there in June and I was not allowed to go anywhere close to it because a scool is being constructed and the path has been closed. Hence a waste of time.

Its in a very silent place. Not many tourists come. When we went there there were a bunch of young boys and girls. The views are breathtaking though the place is little creepy(may be because of the haunted stories..though we didnt experience any)

we were a little skeptical after reading about this being unsafe but we had no such experience and had the place to ourselves. a very picturesque place, you can spend some time relaxing here.

Located about 15 km from Shillong. You need to go through a pine forest for quite a distance and suddenly you are standing before the falls! You get to see the falls in two or three levels by stepping down steep steps. Excellent location for photography. You may like to sit down on one of those benches and take in... More

It is an excellent waterfall, tall, really tall. There are slightly slippery staircases to go down to the bottom of the fall, where there is a pool. There is ample space for party, bonfire etc. Nice place for outing. The place somewhat closes down around 4 pm. Reach early. Not very safe with women after 4 pm. However, a large... More

This particular spot isn't regularly frequented by the tourist. The taxi driver took us to this location on our explicit request since it does not fall in the regular sightseeing package of Shillong. The falls was eerily beautiful, haunting, mesmerizing. I would rate this place above Elephant falls. The surrounding area, the vegetation and the grim roads poured healthy doses... More

We visited the falls at around 2-3 PM. We had to climb down few stairs to reach the falls. One can view the falls from far, it’s not allowed to go near the falls. As there was no one there except us, we spent good time there enjoying the scenery at length.

It is believed by the local people that this fall is haunted. If people go in odd number, they return in even number. The waterfall has also been the subject of the most suicide and deaths in all of the waterfalls in Meghalaya.
