This particular spot isn't regularly frequented by the tourist. The taxi driver took us to this location on our explicit request since it does not fall in the regular sightseeing package of Shillong. The falls was eerily beautiful, haunting, mesmerizing. I would rate this place above Elephant falls. The surrounding area, the vegetation and the grim roads poured healthy doses... More

We visited the falls at around 2-3 PM. We had to climb down few stairs to reach the falls. One can view the falls from far, it’s not allowed to go near the falls. As there was no one there except us, we spent good time there enjoying the scenery at length.

It is believed by the local people that this fall is haunted. If people go in odd number, they return in even number. The waterfall has also been the subject of the most suicide and deaths in all of the waterfalls in Meghalaya.

This falls is in the outskirts of Shillong & we went to it in the late evening just before the sky darkened on us. We had to go through the army base there & reached it to see the falls from far. There were few steps to go down a bit & view the falls & a viewpoint is being... More

We decided to go to Sweet falls which is not a very popular tourist spot, since we had ample time in hand, but then we realized that it's far away & in a very secluded location with no proper roads; the scenery was beautiful as we came out of the city, but it's not at all safe; very lonely &... We were told by a very smart lady owner ( Believe me... When in Shillong, look for shopping at small businesses owned by women. They are dynamic and actually very helpful) that we have to visit Sweet falls. The locals didn't seem to know much. We stopped at a place which looked like a resort abandoned in mid construction.
