Alexander Point is reached after a very pleasant long walk through shady woods with dry leaves crackling underfoot. The view of the mountains and valleys is breathtaking and very beautiful. I love Matheran with its traffic free trails leading to various lookout points with gorgeous scenery. It is perfect for a weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai.

Whilst Louisa Point is supposed to be the best point in Matheran, this is my personal favourite. I would recommend walk to this point from the Bombay House Holiday Home area. walking thru thick greenery is really enchanting. Nice view and good photo opportunity at this point

All the view points are beautiful and will attract your attention towards the nature tails. Every place is a view point. This place again is very peaceful and surrounded by valleys.

it is also nearer to tourist stay compared to one tree point etc. Since it is not far away, you can walk to this point, Best time to visit is early in the morning.

Matheran is quite a place which every couple or family would want to visit. The mountains and the green on the top of it attracts everyone. Approximately 110kms from Pune. Alexander Point and Rambagh Point are closer. Alexander Point gave very good view of the valley we saw from Khandala point. We felt never boring seeing the nature's view so many times. It was just amazing. The weather was quite sunny.
