The Alexander point is the nearest attraction point from Matheran station. The mountain & sunrise view from this point is simply great. The self cable car is an added attraction at this point.

This point is one of the closest from the Railway Station and thus one of the most crowded. This gives a great view of the eastern hills from Matheran and a must visit place in Matheran if you dont want to walk too far.
