We were here in the month of June and yet it was quite green all around. The horse ride up to the point was in fact better as it goes through the jungle on narrow road. Its a nice place offering serene view of the valley. Bit far from the market but worth visiting. The walk towards the point is good however bit secluded. Carry water and other essentials as there are not much shop on the way

This gives same view as that of Khandala point, but you need to walk a mile extra. This point is little big compared to Khandala point and has ample space.

1. Time : Go around 630AM and 2. Take : Torch as it might be dark if you plan to go bit early so as not to miss the golden sun... 3. Carry umbrella 4. Be ready to view the different points through the telescope... there's one person who can show you a few points there...on payment.

Alexander Point is reached after a very pleasant long walk through shady woods with dry leaves crackling underfoot. The view of the mountains and valleys is breathtaking and very beautiful. I love Matheran with its traffic free trails leading to various lookout points with gorgeous scenery. It is perfect for a weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai.

Whilst Louisa Point is supposed to be the best point in Matheran, this is my personal favourite. I would recommend walk to this point from the Bombay House Holiday Home area. walking thru thick greenery is really enchanting. Nice view and good photo opportunity at this point
