Alexander Point and Rambagh Point are located near-by - 1 km apart. Rambhagh point offered a bigger view of the view from Alexander Point. There was a small shop for tea and sodas. Once can get down the Rambagh point for several views and small falls is present there.

well this a good place to see sunrise if you are in matheran, there may be some more good points in matheran to see sunrise but i found this place nice, good views and also it was not far from our cottage only 400 mtrs so you can walk that far very easily.

Good place to see the sunrise, but can go to Alexander point which is nearer and has a better view. The horse wala suggest this only since its longer distance allowing them to charge more money.

Nothing really special about this spot. It is just like any other points available in matheran. It is not worth travelling so long to view this spot.

Most of the peopel who visit Matheran do not dare to go to the Panorama Point, which is supposed to be original Sunrise Point, because it is too far within the jungle. Therefore Rambaug Point is visited as an alternate Sunrise Point by most of the people. The Rambaug Point provides an excellent view of the rising sun from the easter hills.... More

Can go there early morning to see the sun rise. Decent experience. If you are planning horse riding, do take the seven point ride in the early morning. This will be the first point.

It is fun driving from neral to dasturi car park, some steep and sharp bends. Once you reach there you need to take horse ride, hand Cart or toy train or walk uphill to reach matheran, it takes 45-60 min by walk to reach. Beware of the monkey on the way. Once you reach you enjoy fresh air non polluting... More

This place provides the best view of the eastern hills from Matheran if we compare with the views from Khandala Point or Alexander Point. This is bit far from the station/market and horses are also available for those who cant walk that long. I visit this point every time I am in Matheran. The beauty grows manifolds at the time... People say that this is a wonderful point. However we visited in Monsoons. We could not enjoy the scene scenery. What we could see is only fogs & fogs. If you go during summers, probably you can catch on a few scenery, but would not suggest during Monsoons / or a foggy day.
