People now prefer going to Rambaug Point for the sun rise, as Panorama Point is really far off. This was about 2 kms from our hotel and the early morning horse back ride was good. Once at the point the view of the sun rise too was amazing. it was worth the effort that we took to reach there. I... More

Visit in the early morning say by 6.30am to get a beautiful panoramic view of the SUN RISE. This is a nice place for viewing the nature also.

Alexander Point and Rambagh Point are located near-by - 1 km apart. Rambhagh point offered a bigger view of the view from Alexander Point. There was a small shop for tea and sodas. Once can get down the Rambagh point for several views and small falls is present there.

well this a good place to see sunrise if you are in matheran, there may be some more good points in matheran to see sunrise but i found this place nice, good views and also it was not far from our cottage only 400 mtrs so you can walk that far very easily.

Good place to see the sunrise, but can go to Alexander point which is nearer and has a better view. The horse wala suggest this only since its longer distance allowing them to charge more money.

Nothing really special about this spot. It is just like any other points available in matheran. It is not worth travelling so long to view this spot.

Most of the peopel who visit Matheran do not dare to go to the Panorama Point, which is supposed to be original Sunrise Point, because it is too far within the jungle. Therefore Rambaug Point is visited as an alternate Sunrise Point by most of the people. The Rambaug Point provides an excellent view of the rising sun from the easter hills.... More
