Went to this temple on our anniversary. Went there first thing in the morning before heading to other tourist attractions. There is enough room for car parking, however the approach road is a bit narrow. Better take a auto rickshaw to this place. They charge 30 bucks, and it is much better to take your own car in such narrow... More

Lord Omkareshwara Temple is found at the heart of the cityof Madikeri in Coorg. This temple was built by king Lingarajendra in 1820. It is interesting to see the architecture of the temple both in Islamic and Gothic styles of architecture, built around a central pool. There is a legendary story circulating along with this temple. It is said that... More

Another temple with calming effect . If you have enough time with you, then visit this temple. There is a pond in front of the temple with ducks swimming.

Beautiful temple, old carvings and all were very much visible. If you are in this region, you should spend some time here.(less than one hour needed here) Nicely maintained.

pretty clean. its a different kind of architecture - a dome in the centre and minarets style columns on 4 sides. A fresh water pool in the front with a lot of fishes. visit in the morning hours to enjoy the calmness.

A very old temple at the heart of madikeri is omkareshwara Temple. After the disappointing Abbey and Rajas seat this place had a beautiful pond in front of the temple and there were lots of ducks swimming. No litter around the temple and the place was very calm and quiet. The temple has both hindu and Muslim architecture showing how... More

We went this place after our visit to Raja's seat (sun set). A very calm place. This temple is a combination of Hindu and Islamic architecture. A quite unique structure to see. Very closer to the city. Not a walk able distance

really peaceful, not much of tourists. the architecture seems more Islamic than Hindu. the pond before the entrance is very sobering. there is no facilities to keep shoes or bags, before entrance steps. the inside of the temple and the courtyard is almost devoid of people, a rare occurrence in India. toilets or any public conveniences are invisible. needs improvements.
