Amazing... Hidden in a corner

We discovered this by accident as we couldn't go to the over-hyped Khajjiar!! The drive to the boating point is awesome as the road winds across the hills and tunnels. You can... read more

Boating...boating & boating. If you like peace then go for normal boating or go for speed boating is you like speed.

We discovered this by accident as we couldn't go to the over-hyped Khajjiar!! The drive to the boating point is awesome as the road winds across the hills and tunnels. You can see the grandeur as you descent. The boating experience is great even though a tad expensive. Take the slow boat as it gives you more time to see... More

Chamera lake is about 25 km taxi ride from Dalhousie, in Himachal Pradesh. The lake is formed due to the dam on river Ravi. The approach to the place is good, although it is quite a long journey from Dalhousie. The place has some great views of water falls, lake, hills and one Chamera devi temple few kms ahead of... The lovely lake created for the Dam and the boat ride in the lake. There are two rides one with the speed boat and other with motor boat. The speed boat ride is a short ride and must for all adventure loving people whereas the motor boat ride is good for all others. The motor boat operator takes you for... More

Of the very limited things to do in Dalhousie, this is one not to be missed. A Boat ride for 30 mins (INR 300/- pp and 200/- for kids). It was a nice and enjoyable group ride through the lake. It took us barely 1 hour to get there from Dalhousie so not too much of a hassle.

Its situated at a very nice location with a DAM and an hour drive from Dalhousie. There is not much to do there only a waterfall which gives you a was when you cross it. There were boating available but was closed at the time we went there in September. kinda average experience there.

You can totally give Chamera Lake a miss, in my view. Let me give you some reasons for this assertion: 1) You need to come down a lot from Dalhousie to reach Chamera dam/lake. Though the road is pretty good, you'll need about 1.5 hours to reach there. And same amount of time or more going back again. 2) After... More
