Navgraha Temple is in the same premises of Kamkhya Devi Temple so it is not something separate from this temple complex. Temple is impressive but people have offered too much of Sindoor and Roli and thus disturbed the look and beauty of natural idols. Request all priest to pay attention to this instead of making hefty money from devotees.

This temple is on top of a hill and not frequented by many people. The navagrahas are represented by shivlingas which are wrapped in different colour cloth. There are statues of the navagrahas near the lingas.as is common in old Hindu temples there is no natural light in the sanctum sanctorum and the only light is from the diyas in... More

This Temple is situated on the top of Hill in Guwahati but in the heart of the city. Hill is not very high and motor-able road takes you up to the temple. View of town from temple is good. In this temple there are nine symbolic of each of the planet, with a Shiva in the center. Temple is dark... More

The Navagraha temple was a historically important temple of the city and one of the unique temples in India which is dedicated to the planets of the solar system. The temple complex is poorly renovated with cement and modern paint and no longer looks like a heritage site. Although the hilltop offers a good sunset view of the Brahmaputra river,... More

- Its definitely not worth by any count for the devotee or the general traveller alike - Its supposed to host 9 Planets and some sort of astrological/astronomical drawings etc., But could not find any such significant motifs or architecture - Place is as usual in Guwahati is absolutely neglected and is not worth spending your precious time

The Navagraha Temple is situated on the top of Chitrasal Hill in Guwahati. You have to climb some stairs from road to reach the main shrine. Enshrined in this temple are nine Shivalingams and these represent the nine planets, each covered with a colored garment symbolic of each of the planet, with a Shivaligam in the centre symbolizing the Sun....
