Hilly ribbon like roads encircling the Zoo for easy visits to the cages of animals make the visit worth remembering for quite some time. All the animals with obe horn rhino, snakes, tigers etc really have been kept in a very well maintained manner. Its clean and... More

State Zoo situated in heart of Guwahati has variety of Animals & reptiles. However, the point of attraction is the White tiger & different variety of snakes . It is good place for kids to have fun with animals which they just see in books.

The good thing is animals here are given large enclosures and do not look under fed or weak. Very good wildlife range and Home of Rhinos as well. They have a snake house as well... More

okay the one in trivandrum is largest in india, but this is definately the best...huge collection of animals...all living in comfort,no small cages and veryy close to natural environment.Large areas for animals...and you can see soo many monkeys and indian muntjac deers walking outside cages.A must go for zoo and wildlife lovers.Take a day out for this.

Spread over a large area, the state zoo is well connected by road to the guwahati city. There are animals of different species, a number of lions, tigers, rhinos are among them. Few reptiles could also be seen. The only let down is no safari. Zoo is well maintained.
