its small, uncrowded, rugged and stunningly beautiful. if one is looking to recharge batteries far from the maddening crowds, this is the place to chill. but lack of enough decent accommodation, ever increasing numbers of tourists and all the ills that go with it are worrying.

I arrived Neil Island in the afternoon , watched amazing sun-set from Laxmanpur beach and stayed over-night. Next morning visited sun-rise point at Sitapur Beach #5, spent a couple of hours in Bharatpur beach and at the end wandered in the half-immersed coral-reefs in Sitapur beach. The itinerary may sound hectic but every bit of it was worthy. Bharatpur beach... More

Neil island is a backpacker's dream. I chose Neil island over Havelock since it was quieter and attracted the backpackers rather than tourists. Neil Island is gorgeous. It has great beaches. beach No. 1, 3 and 5 are magnificent. Unfortunately Beach No. 4 is strewn with garbage. Renting a cycle is a great way of seeing the island. Cycles cost... More

If you are a nature lover then this is the best place in Andamans to visit. Stay at Tango Beach Resort which is very near to the Sunset point. Only buffet is offered in the hotels/resorts. Sea Shell offers delicious food. :) Note: There is no wine shop in the entire island, the only place to buy booze is from... More

Neil Island is not as popular as Havelock but definitely nothing less compared to the Havelock ! This is an island which houses 99 families and limited number of place to stay. This place is more looked as a day trip from Port Blair on the way to Havelock or the other way. Two major places to see are the... More

Nice little island you have to experience to know about it. The beaches are well maintained but the facilities are not available as visitors are not still knowing about the place.
