I visited this park over Labor Day weekend when I was in Ohio to see my family. I was concerned about getting lost on the way to the park as it looked difficult to find on the map, but signage made it quite simple. Parking is generous and the nature center is educational. My 10 year old nephew enjoyed the... More

My husband and I have lives in Columbus for about 3 years and we just recently found this place. It is amazing to say the least! Beautiful walking trails and tons of wildlife with pretty good fishing too.

I came for the bison. They seemed to be hiding, but walking around the park was nice. This park has a lot of trails and is a short drive from Columbus.

This is one of my favorite metro parks close to home. There are so many trails and things to see. The biggest attraction at the park is the bison. I also love walking along the river which creates a relaxing experience. Listening to the water is calming. The trails are a great way to exercise without feeling like you are... More

We were in Columbus to watch a hockey game and this park was recommended to us by our RV park host. We went on a cloudy week day and prior to the ranger station opening, but we were able to observe the buffalo lying in the pasture nearby. We walked some of the trails and went along the creek. What... More

This is an awesome park and there are many things to see. It is the largest of the Metro parks. If you are going to be there a while check out the Nature Center schedule. They have a streamside classroom that you can go out and catch bugs with large nets, bring them ashore and evaluate what you have. You... More

Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park has so much to offer for people of all ages! If you're the athletic type, be sure to walk some of the scenic trails offered. Bird watching is an extremely fun activity to do on an afternoon walk, as birds are easy to see. Make time for the off trail nature area (clearly marked) because... More
