We reserved an open air safari and were very impressed with the facility when we got there. Almost 10,000 acres of land the tour covers only some but you get to see a lot. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the place and all the animals they had. Very impressive place. Some animals there are some of the few... More

Nice experience for my family. Very educational. Animals were for the most part close enough. However huge amount of time was spent getting to and from the carnivore area only to see hardly anything. Was their way too long. THey just sleep in the shade far away from the noise. We took the open air bus due to the nice... More

Awesome experience! We stayed at Nomad Ridge in a Yurt. We had Yurt 11 which is a premium Yurt. We were impressed at how nice the Yurt was. It was very clean and cozy. It was located further away from the observation deck with fire ring which meant a longer walk, but we enjoyed the privacy. Wine and beer are... More

This is our second visit to The Wilds and our second open air safari. Lee was our guide and he was fantastic! He was both funny and informative. We were lucky enough to see several animals moving and close to the bus. So much fun!!

We were in Zanesville, Ohio and saw signs going 70 west and asked about it at the hotel. They told us it was a neat place to visit. The first time we attempted to find it was hard. We missed the exit going 70 east because there was NO signage. When we turned around we saw a sign and it... More

My Aunt and I went to the Wilds for a zipline tour in early July, and loved it! Neither of us had any experience ziplining, but with the encouragement and guidance of our tour guides we quickly caught on and the stress and fear of the new skill faded away. Each of the ten ziplines between the towers in the... More

We took an open air bus and found this to a fun experience. Some of the animals are close and others not so much so bring binoculars. The pros of the trip were the nice views and seeing the animals in a more natural environment. Since you are on a bus with a limited number of seats it isn't crowded.... More

I honestly can't say enough about my experience on the zip line tour! My girlfriend and I are new to the area and were not really expecting much from anything in backwoods Ohio. Consider me blown away! The park and facilities of the Wilds are top-notch, well taken care of, and extremely informative. We took the long zip line tour... More

The Wilds is a perfect example of land reclaimed from mining. It's one of the largest animal parks of its kind in the nation. I spent my birthday here with my husband and a friend. We had a picnic in the shade next to the parking lot before catching the shuttle bus to the main building. From there, we purchased... More

Its amazing to see wild animals roam this beautiful wild life sanctuary that was once a former strip mine. We booked a tour called the "sunset tour". It started with a buffet dinner at 5:00 and around 6 we all boarded open air buses with our guides for the park tour. During the evening hours the animals are fed close... More
