We recently had an overnight stay at The Wilds in a Yurt. It included supper on the day of arrival, breakfast the next morning and an Open Safari vehicle on a 2 1/2 safari trip throughout the grounds of 10 acres. The guided tour was great very good safari tour guide. The place is an amazing source of endangered animals... More

I cannot rave about the Wilds enough ... my family (and I) went here for a Wildside tour (8 passengers in the back of a large pickup) off roading through a reclaimed strip mine/now animal preserve ... I have been to many animal-based attractions but this one takes the cake -- and if you go on a Wildside tour, ask... More

It's been a while since we have been to The Wilds and we need to go back. We even had a membership one year. This place is EXCELLENT all the way around! It's amazing to have something like this in OH. It's a testament to what can be done with reclaimed mining land. The animal conversation they are doing is... More

We visited The Wilds on a sunny windy Tuesday. We signed up for the Open-air Safari bus tour. We saw many animals that you can see at a zoo but also several that you do not see at most zoos. The bus travels thru separate fenced-in areas. The most interesting animals were the Sichuan Takin, Scimitar-Horned Oryx, Grevy's Zebra, Przewalski's... More

Our family went today, we took my Dad and Step mom. So six total in our group. We had Katherine as our tour guide. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely go back and would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun family day trip. We drove 3 hours to go and it was well worth... More

The husband and I went on the winter tour today. For us it was a little over 2 hr drive and it was well worth it for me! Only 4 people total were in our tour so it was very personable. Didn't get to probably see near as many animals as a normal tour (which we haven't done) but you... More

Very personal and interesting tour. Well worth the trip to a remote location. You were so close to the animals you could even pet some of them.

The Wilds reminded me of a Jurrassic Park experience! State of the art gates that open up to let the safari ride begin. It's hilly and open, 10,000 acres of land and animals that are endangered. The employees were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We had a lovely time at the Wilds. It was worth every dollar. My husband & I... More

The tours are amazing, the view of the rolling hills of Ohio is incredible and I really wish my husband and I could afford to stay in the yurts.
