Not at all good for younger kids...my son had questions, and the man who conducted the tour wasn't patient or kind with him. It was blazing hot in there (we went in the summer). I was fairly bored. wouldn't recommend.

We love to take our kids on one day trips and thought visiting the American Whistle Factory would be fun. We drove about two hours to the factory. The factory is very small and the tour takes about 45 minutes. At times it was very hard to hear. The process of how the whistles are made was informative and they...

Decided to do something a little extraordinary around Columbus. Found this tour and was interested in learning the history and facts of whistles. My 7 1/2 year old was thrilled to watch the whole process of whistle making but because our tour group was larger (18), she bored quickly when having to wait for everyone to see all of the...

My 10 yr. old grandson and I visited during the heatwave. The tour guide was very good with detail for the age group we were with. The information was not excessive but interesting. I would definitely take my other 4 grandchldren when they are old enough, at least 7 on the tour. My grandson did not put the whistle away...

He had a microphone attached to a speaker that went over his shoulder but when you were not in the path of this speaker you could not hear a thing! I had brought small children and they...

The machines were not operating so the 45 minute tour was almost all tell. I wanted to escape. The value is in the whistle. Watch the YouTube video and buy the whistle at Walmart. The tour guide repeatedly told us how much he loved Walmart.

I was a chaperone on an elementary school field trip. The "factory" is tiny and the tour is incredibly dull. Admission price includes a whistle, but I felt the whole thing was overpriced. A tour of a doctor's office or - for heaven's sake - a gas station would have been more interesting and educational.

I was in Columbus and took the tour of the American Whistle Corp. It is about a 45 minute tour of the process of making a metal whistle. They even show you how they put the ball inside the whistle. The cost, as of April 2011, was $4 a person and you got a whistle at the end of the...
