Built to host AmeriFlora in 1999 (I'm pretty sure of the date), the Franklin Park Conservatory is an up-to-date repository of plants organized by region, each in its own biome. Amidst the plants you'll see part of the conservatory's Chihuly art glass collection. More Chihuly glass is in the original structure, The Palm House. A great place to go on... More

Accessible, friendly. The butterfly park is the highlight in my opinion. They have a good gift shop too.

I had only been here in winter before and didn't realize how amazing their butterflies are. I've been to other butterfly exhibits, but Franklin Park had the most exotic and colorful variety of species, and the room itself is wonderfully landscaped. It's a great place for kids because the various indoor spaces are designed with hills and winding paths and... More

The venue at the conservatory changes depending on the season but the various eco systems remain the same. Butterflies in bloom is always a great hit. The best time to go is during the week and in the morning when the conservatory is not so crowded. Make sure you bring your camera for lots of great photos. Children like the... More

Always have a wonderful time visiting. The gardens are beautiful and they have some wonderful special exhibits. Always surprised that my kids want to visit, you wouldn't think flowers and plants would be that fun to look at :)

We like the summer outdoor flower exhibit. We like the year round indoor exhibits. We like that the Conservatory is about 60 minutes from our home. We like the abundant parking.

I visit FPC about four times a year - they have such fun theming, and they offer really interesting workshops. The flowers, combined with things like Chihuli glass or live butterflies makes it very worthwhile. Their extended hours on Wednesday nights is also a nice touch - it's a lovely mid-week treat!

I was led to parking lot far away from conservatory by my iPhone gps & had to walk & find it. But it was a nice day & I needed some exercise. The area of town is rather trashy on one side of this park. It's not much of an outside gardens but the conservatory is old & cool. There... More

We were visiting on vacation with my family and meet up with a cousin. We were looking for something to do. Visiting the Conservatory was a very enjoyable experience. We got to watch butterflies being released. We toured all the various exhibit halls, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover a small Garden Railroad running in the Himalaya Room! Shot... More
