I am a photographer and love this area for street photography. Always people walking around, doing interesting things. Beyond that - you are close to a ton of things to do. Great food and coffee shops, lots of places for shopping. You are also a short walk away from the North Market, Nationwide Arena, The Columbus Convention Center, Goodale Park.... More

Especially vibrant on first Saturdays when they have the Gallery Hop. But other times are nice for easy viewing of the galleries and shops. Lots of nice restaurants, every type and price range up and down the street. It definitely has the big city feel here.

Great shops and galleries with a wide array of taste for any collectors. It is great to be able to walk from one gallery and shop to the next. A great day outing.

I always enjoy the first Saturday of the month for Gallery Hop. It gives me a chance to see new places around the Short North.

Must stop for people visiting Columbus. Great bars and restaurants, shops, etc. pedestrian friendly and fun to walk. Think King Street in Charleston with less history.

The gallery hop is great. The famous ice cream joint rocks. The restaurants are cool, but not much diversity is visible or available food wise.

There is so much to do and see in the Short North Area. There are terrific bars, restaurants, art galleries and unique gift shops. It's a fun place to be in the daytime or at night. It's pretty lively at night. Once a month they host an event called The Gallery Hop. Most of the galleries and shops stay open... More

I did not even know anything about the Short North until last recently. Its a very small district that does a really good job supporting its stores through the gallery hops every first saturdays. Its a great place to go to if you are into the arts or looking for a good place to eat but other than that there... More
