The Short North area is very diverse, and full of small businesses only a block from downtown. I find a large variety of businesses in the area, but do not advise the Gallery Hops held one weekend, monthly as it is a little crowded, and not handicapped capable whatsoever.

What can you say about the Short North Arts District except that it's amazing. So many great places to eat, shop and grab a drink and hang out with friends. Probably the worst thing about the Short North is deciding where to go. So I suggest you park your car (the second worst thing, totally not kidding here) and start... More

Love the Short North. Always so much going on. The parking sucks but eventually you find a spot. So many awesome restauants and shops to check out. Always something new every time I visit. The Gallery Hop is always fun but sometimes a bit too crowded so we normally choose a different weekend or time to

Have your walking shoes on. A place to have fun, walking, eating and a few drinks if you are of drinking age. A nice representation of every cuisine in the world is available on High Street and some side streets. Parking is a minus, if you drive, arrive early and hope to find parking. The hours should be expanded.

Very walk-able, great variety of boutiques and art and places to eat. Fun place, cool urban vibe. Sets in between the arena district and OSU campus on High St.

Very beatiful few blocks of the city. Nothing fancy or too stupid for hust a couple of students looking to forget the books for a bit. Very warm atmosphere and diverse people, places to go, etc. Every single time I visit the area adds up to a diferent experience. BUT, it should definetily stay open a little longer than it... More

Come hungry and with full wallets. There is nearly every kind of restaurant available on High ST and side streets. The Mercantile is a fun place to shop for home furnishings. Many art galleries and specialty stores. Parking can be a challenge, so try the Hubbard AV garage. You can even take the C-Bus downtown from there is you wish.... More

This is like a Broad Ripple area--fun shops, huge restaurant diversity, and lots to see/do. Try Philco for a very creative and delicious Brussels sprout salad. Le Chocolique is a wonderful place for high-end truffles and other treats.

The short north arts district has some of the best art and collector shops in Columbus. While there is generally a good bit of turn over in studios and shops, it is always a fun time to stroll through them. Plan to go on the first Saturday of the month for gallery hop. The short north is GLBT friendly. Overhead... More

The Short North is best experienced the first Saturday of the month called Gallery Hop! Shops open their doors, street performers are out, and the food is amazing! You rub elbows with all kinds of Artsie people. Park in the Hubbard Garage. It's cheaper to pay for the garage than the parking ticket you may get issued otherwise. I even... More
