Fantastic area just north of downtown Columbus. Great restaurants, bars, shops, all in one place. The people watching can't be beat, definitely worth the effort to go.

More shopping and food than galleries per se, but still a fun night out. Definitely go on Gallery Hop night (first Saturday every month) for more street events and special happenings.

Love to shop the market and not sure if Surly Girl is considered short north but salad at lunch was awesome!

We were staying close to this area for a couple of weeks for a rotation. We walked down here several times. We always felt safe and enjoyed the area. There are some fun restaurants down here. Perhaps not the most kid friendly, but that was our fault for not tease arching ahead of time.

Many pubs offering specials to get diner goers into their doors. Went to Bakersfield and had great food and great service while enjoying PBRs for $2 a bottle. Some nice art galleries but many were closed.

The first Saturday in known as 'Gallery Hop', the stores stay open late. Draws a lot of people to the area, there are street performers/music. The restaurant can get pretty busy so make reservations or just enjoy a drink a the bar while you wait for your table

The Short North is a concise and concentrated version of all things good about Columbus - a young city with a great cultural undertone. Unassuming to look at first (an ordinary, somewhat quaint street that you might pass through by accident), this (literally short) stroll will see you past a few live performers, a few warm and modern galleries worth... Go to the Short North on a weekend and you'll love it. There's people everywhere, places to drink or eat at every turn, and a great way to look at interesting shops that aren't found elsewhere in Columbus! I used to come here every weekend and I was never disappointed. :)
