What a transition of an area! Short North is between downtown and the Ohio State campus. It's FULL of restaurants, bars, art galleries and shops.....and has more salons than most cities! It does not, however, have a Starbucks! We stayed at the Le Meridian, The Joseph, which I highly recommend as you are right there in Short North.

So many entrepreneurial stores & restaurants to choose from. The activity is mainly along High street in this area adjacent to downtown Columbus. This one of the artsy areas of town. Residents range from millennials to empty-nestors. And there is a lot of foot traffic on any weekend especially the 1st Saturday of each month which is the Gallery Hop.... More

Unique area to walk around and go into different kinds of shops. Kind of artsy fartsy. My young grandkids even enjoyed it. We had ice cream at Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream (the most different ice cream shop I have ever been to). They have interesting flavors.

Short North, as the name implies, is also home to many of the Art Galleries. But it is much more than that. It is a very unique part of Columbus, and while downtown biz district largely rolls up the sidewalks around 6pm, the Short North, with its combo of great restaurants bars, galleries and unique shops always is a good... A few friends and I went for gallery hop and had a great time! I love that all the shops are privately owned and have a lot of character. Great atmosphere and good times had by all!

Craft beer, tatoos, great food and art. I love going to the Short North when I need something to do. The people are def. hipsters, gay friendly and down to earth. Located on the edge of Downtown Columbus, there is a free Cbus from other areas of the city.

What started as a once a month gallery hop has morphed into the place to go for a night on the town, or to shop for fine art, to shop, or just to walk and see and be seen. No matter what time of day or what your goal, the short north is always the place to go.

We recently went on a nice cold Saturday afternoon for a special Christmas visit. The shops were welcoming and not pushy. A great place to look for gifts or decorating your home. Some great clothes too. Then of course some great lunch with some local brews of course. There is a lot to choose from, but that day we ate at... More

So much to do! I needed more than a weekend to experience. Something for everyone, even if you just want to browse.
