great shops, great eats, walking distance to downtown Columbus and the Arena District bookended with Ohio State University campus on the other end...so much to see and so little time...I always enjoy coming to the Short North whenever I'm in the Columbus area!

Columbus, OH "Short North" is a site for all to see and Columbus can be proud of what the visitor will see. North High St has Black Arches to drive under. Yes, this is ONE Way to get to OSU, just about 3 mins on up High St. Going thru a food market in the Short North is like a... More

This area is home to countless bars, restaurants, quaint stores and galleries. It is a great afternoon, or evening to walk up and down High Street to browse, eat and drink. Gallery Hop Saturdays can be crowded, and parking is somewhat tough at times.

What a transition of an area! Short North is between downtown and the Ohio State campus. It's FULL of restaurants, bars, art galleries and shops.....and has more salons than most cities! It does not, however, have a Starbucks! We stayed at the Le Meridian, The Joseph, which I highly recommend as you are right there in Short North.

So many entrepreneurial stores & restaurants to choose from. The activity is mainly along High street in this area adjacent to downtown Columbus. This one of the artsy areas of town. Residents range from millennials to empty-nestors. And there is a lot of foot traffic on any weekend especially the 1st Saturday of each month which is the Gallery Hop.... More

Unique area to walk around and go into different kinds of shops. Kind of artsy fartsy. My young grandkids even enjoyed it. We had ice cream at Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream (the most different ice cream shop I have ever been to). They have interesting flavors.

Short North, as the name implies, is also home to many of the Art Galleries. But it is much more than that. It is a very unique part of Columbus, and while downtown biz district largely rolls up the sidewalks around 6pm, the Short North, with its combo of great restaurants bars, galleries and unique shops always is a good... A few friends and I went for gallery hop and had a great time! I love that all the shops are privately owned and have a lot of character. Great atmosphere and good times had by all!
