Very good nature trails

Great park to take a walk or have a cookout with the family. Walk or ride a bike on the trail and possibly see a few deer.

I felt safe there. It's nice to be able to walk and talk with friends and get a good workout! If you love the outdoors then there is plenty to see.

If you are out for a good walk, I recommend the walking trail at Sharon Woods. It is 4 miles of beautiful woods and streams.

We are so fortunate to live in a place with multiple metro parks! Each has its own special areas. We like to check on the website for classes, events. We love the tram ride which moves from one park to another, so you have to watch the schedule to see where it will be. We have learned about birds and... More

Some challenging trails as well as more relaxed trails for walks - lots of picnicking and even a place to fish.

Another gem in the MetroPark system, green space in the middle of suburbia and business. Columbus is fortunate to have such accessible parkland, well maintained.

It is FREE! Sharon Woods offers a nice 3+ mile loop for walking or running or observing nature. It has picnic tables, a couple of play areas for children, plenty of parking unless it is a holiday weekend, and improved restrooms. It is a great get-away from the city in the city. I have visited many times during the past... More

When we don't want to exert ourselves with big hills but do want a nice hike, we head to Sharon Woods. There are several paths, they tend to be flat (and sometimes muddy), and most of them interconnect. The map is good, so you can easily get around if you know how to read a map. There is also a... We visited the park during our visit to Columbus for the holidays to stretch our legs and get away from family for a bit. There are both paved and "off-road" trails which are clearly marked and have several benches along them to allow you to stop and watch nature, breathe and relax. It was great being able to "get away"... More

This wonderful Metro Park is an excellent location for a great family day out. Take a picnic with you and enjoy this jewel in the Westerville crown. There are lots of trails to explore with plenty of wild life, bubbling brooks, and spectacular tree canopies. Occasionally an officious metro park ranger would come by in the old days but refreshingly... More
