We have attended many events at the Palace Theater and found it to be a great location. The smaller size of the theater provides a more up close and personal experience.

We have been to many beautiful and not so beautiful theaters but this place gets the prize for Most Uncomfortable... First off we are not large people, I'm 5'5" and 150lbs, my seat was squeezing my backside and my knees were just barely touching the back of the seat in front of me, I had flats on by the way.... We saw a concert here, and the vibe was very different from your typical rock show. Aside from the music, it was much like seeing a show on Broadway. They *do* serve drinks, from Irish coffee to beer, but the lines are absurd and prices a bit much. Terrible place for getting trashed during a show... this made a great... More

Great place to see a show. Very nicely restored theater conveniently located in downtown columbus. Have seen many traveling shows as well as concerts there. God venue for both

Opening in 1926, the Palace theater with it's 2,827seating capacity was a grand lady in the 30s,40s and 50s. First designed for Vaudeville, it has exceptional acoustics which was required before the age of amplification. A red carpet grand entrance staircase, magnificent chandelier, murals and hall of autographed pictures speak to that splendid age. I'm 6'1" tall and the seating... More

Decor could use some updating, seating is a bit uncomfortable...it depends on how badly you want to see the performance at the palace whether its worth it or not.

This theater has a variety of productions but it is primarily used for the Broadway Series. The décor is very close, if not the same, as the original décor from it's hay-day, i.e., rugs, wall paper, etc. You can always tell when someone is there for the first time because they are checking out all aspects of the theater.

If you've never been, you'll enjoy your first time. It's been around forever, but they've done a nice job keeping it up to date. The problem is with seat locations. Simply, too many bad seats, either because of sight lines or sound. If you're reserving seats online, go for the middle of the first floor, and pay what you need... More

Great theater. Kept up well after so many years. Close to restaurants and the shows are normally reasonable priced compared to bid cities. Doubletree and Marriot and Hampton and Hilton and Hyatt are all close by if you want to make a weekend of visiting.

The Palace is a gem of a theater in Columbus. While not a huge venue, it is a very nice size and provides good sound/acoustics for the music being performed there. I particularly like the renovations that have kept it looking in many ways like it did in the past - just beautiful!
