Join the tour. Very educational and informational. Beautiful Senate House, Atrium, Weddings, events are allowed in the Atrium. Check the lower level-the cafe and tourism shop for free brochures of all counties in Ohio.Newly renovated. Can also attend sessions. Request for early accommodation. Good for students learning government and history.

I work downtown and love to take a lunch time walk around the statehouse. The landscaping is amazing and the hustle bustle of the white collar workers is energizing. Just to the North of the Statehouse, behind the Ohio Theater is the Columbus Commons. I recommend going over on Thursdays. They have the food trucks from 11am - 2pm. YUM.

After several state capitol building tours they all start to sound alike. This one had a cupola over their dome, so that was different. (It is a nod to the Greeks, who are credited with the first democracy.) Informative. Liked the updates and technology that is being incorporated.

Very accessible (democratic), good displays on Ohio history, gives you a nice view on how state capitols evolved and have worked over time. Easy parking in the underground garage.

This is one of the more impressive Statehouses I have toured. Sometimes when traveling if I am staying in a state capital city and I have a few hours to waste, touring the state capital building is a nice way to spend that time. Ohio's Capital building is definitely worth the visit.

A great place to spend the day walking around the capital and viewing all it has to offer. You may meet some of our elected officials, eat in the cafeteria and see where Abraham Lincoln spoke while on a whistle stop through the Midwest. Just enjoy

Very interesting place to visit. You can take either a self-guided tour or a guided tour which is what we did. The building is beautiful - architecture, paintings, historical displays. Was able to see the House and the Senate floors, and Governors Office. A must see!

The building was amazing. Don't forget to stop by the museum for a free electronic guide. We had a little trouble finding the exact places to play each selection but listening was still very informative. The building was beautiful and had lots of history.

My family hosted out of town guests and wanted to give them a memorable Columbus experience. One morning during their visit we decided to take our friend on a tour of the Ohio Statehouse. It's a beautiful building in the middle of downtown. One of the things we love about the Statehouse is that they have a cadre of volunteers... More
