This building is worth a walk through. Outside it looks like any other state capital building. Inside is quiet and beautiful mini-museum/art gallery. Be sure to stop in the rotunda and look up at the stained glass ceiling.

Incredible amount of Ohio history at the ideal price, Free! It's fun to watch school trips cone into the Rotundra and their mouth open in unison as they look up to the dined ceiling. They go from rowfy to completely silent in the matter of seconds.

We went on a Sunday so only one door is open, had to find that one. We had a wonderful tour guide and the information she provided was great. After your tour you can take all the time you want to go through the museum they have. Amazed at how open to the public everything is. This was worth every... More

This statehouse is quite old and cavernous, though it doesn't necessarily look like it from the outside. The rotunda is awesome and there is a place where Abraham Lincoln gave a speech in the building. There is a museum, but better seen with a guided tour.

The Ohio State Capitol is a beautiful building set on nicely landscaped grounds. I always enjoy walking around the capitol buildings to see the statues and so forth. Unfortunately I choose to go during the 9/11 ceremony. I had looked forward to seeing the McKinley statue in front but when I tried a cop directed me around the back of... More

The Ohio Statehouse is not a place where you can enjoy the history of this magnificent Greek Revival Statehouse in one trip...you need to come back more and more to learn from the stories of different tour guides of this great government house.

I wasn't especially impressed with the museum displays, but the guided tour was excellent. We learned more about the architecture than the history, which was fine with me (though I'd hoped for some arcane tidbits about a Taft or Annie Oakley or some other Ohio legends). The building is quite impressive, and I think we saw some spaces that visitors... More

We had out-of-town friends in & took the Statehouse tour. I highly recommend it! I had not taken that tour for years - it was a wonderful refresher! Lots of interesting and historical facts about our beautiful Statehouse. Tour was about 45 minutes. Nice gift shop on the lower level.

We visited this state house and found it to be rather small. It had a nice museum in the basement and we were there on a Saturday and found that a wedding and reception was being held there. We were very surprised to see this as never had known of a statehouse that rented itself out to weddings and receptions.... More

Statehouses are always beautiful, very interesting and informative. This one is very enjoyable. Wander around and see Ohio history displayed. The rotunda and chambers are worth a look. They have a great gift shop below with lots of great things.
