In recent years we've been to the statehouses of Indiana, West Virginia and Massachusetts and have been quite impressed with them all, so it was an easy decision to add Ohio to the list while traveling through Columbus last week on our way to Cleveland. We parked in the underground lot as suggested on the statehouse website and had no... More

This was a visit well worth the time. Be very sure to take a tour so the history of the building can come alive. The rotunda area is magnificantly beautiful.

There are free tours on the hour. It's a beautiful building but, if you're like me and have bad knees, be sure and ask about the elevator. That said, the free tour is wonderful.

During the summer, many activities are held on the lawn. Did you know that Abraham Lincoln delivered a speech from the steps? Plus, the inside is amazing! Tours are given regularly. If you are in Columbus and can stop by you definitely should. There is also a gift shop to buy unique Ohio items. :)

Take the free guided tour to get more informative information. Very enjoyable to explore both the inside and outside of this beautiful building and part of Ohio's history. All the staff were so eager to be of any assistance. Take the "free" C-Bus in front of the Statehouse on the S/W corner at Broad and High to see a little... More

The statehouse in Columbus is worth a visit and tour. It has a small museum in the basement and they provide free guided tours.

Very well maintained. There is a customer center/visorts center inside. Representatives will provide you a great deal of information about the statehouse and Ohio. Museum is also very nice. Can purchase momentos there also.

Loved the tour and the history of the Statehouse. I enjoyed the mosaic tile of all of the Ohio counties in the lower level of the Statehouse.
