Very interesting place to visit. You can take either a self-guided tour or a guided tour which is what we did. The building is beautiful - architecture, paintings, historical displays. Was able to see the House and the Senate floors, and Governors Office. A must see!

The building was amazing. Don't forget to stop by the museum for a free electronic guide. We had a little trouble finding the exact places to play each selection but listening was still very informative. The building was beautiful and had lots of history.

My family hosted out of town guests and wanted to give them a memorable Columbus experience. One morning during their visit we decided to take our friend on a tour of the Ohio Statehouse. It's a beautiful building in the middle of downtown. One of the things we love about the Statehouse is that they have a cadre of volunteers... More

Take the tour. They run every half hour if I remember correctly. Guide was great. Answered all our questions and allowed me time to take pictures as we went along.

I went there before Christmas when it was all decorated, and wow, it was beautiful! I have visited at other times of the year and it was very interesting to tour and see the history of this grand building. I felt proud to know that this gem represents the best of Ohio.

We were at the Statehouse for our We The People competition and it was great (not just because we won) but because it was easily accessible, security was very good but didn't seem to be over the top that happens in most government buildings these days . The architecture and history mix well with being functional and up to date

Not the typical looking Capitol Building, unusual and interesting. Take a look at it at night. Haven't been inside.

We had a terrific guide who gave us lots of information. The statehouse is something to see! There are some statues outdoors before you enter which are interesting, and the indoor tour is wonderful and very informative. Our guide could answer many questions and had lots of stories to share. The tours start in the lower area of the buildings... More

Guided tour includes history of how and why the Statehouse is what it is today. Explanations of lights, paintings, paint and so much more. Tour also unlocks several doors which gives more up close and personal views of important parts of this seat of government.
