Been there many times. They advertise on NPR "hear what the world is talking about." Referring to the Cleveland Orchestra and equally prestigious Severance Hall. The music is incomparable and they travel to Europe (the director is from Austria) once or twice a year as well as other places in the US but CLE is their home. People dress with... More

Great orchestra. Nice and helpful staff (usher personnel especially). A friendly and lively ambiance is being cultivated. I enjoyed the wine bar in the aftermath on the porch. Purchasing the ticket online and picking it up on the concert day worked well.

This orchestra is rated world class. They also have a really good Pops Orchestra. The building is magnificent.

You should go if just visiting Cle. but if you live in the area, it's a great deal buying the season tickets. I usually get Fridays at 11am. It's half of the price of the evenings. A little shorter tough.

I see the orchestra a couple times a year. They are a top notch performance. Serverance Hall is beautiful and the music sounds fantastic. A definition of perfection.

A must for anyone living or traveling to Cleveland that loves classical music. Severance Hall is beautiful inside and out. The Orchestra is recognized around the world. You can also stop, before or after the concert, for a bite to eat or a drink at the restaurant inside Severance Hall.

Just being in Severance Hall, was a thrill, the building and grounds are beautiful. If you can not attend a concert, the architecture and the gardens are a great place to take a stroll. Of course, the Cleveland Orchestra is fantastic.

First off, we did not see the orchestra. We walked to Severance Hall from the Art Museum in mid-afternoon. While not particularly impressive from the outside, inside is truly splendid. The Hall was constructed in the early 1930's and is beautifully ornate. Be sure to visit the hall when you are in Cleveland.

Severance Hall is a marvel ... The acoustics are one-of-a kind, and cannot be adequatley articulated in writing. One must experience the room first-hand. It silence, even, is remarkable. The architecture is magnificent. Outside is massive and balanced. The interior design of Severance Hall also has to be seen to be explained -- its an overwhelming eclecticism unmatched anywhere.
