After road weariness and lack of healthy food options started kicking in it was nice to find the wide selection of fruits and vegetables available at the market. Don't miss out on the amazing variety of cheeses, fresh cut meats, as well as ready made food to order. The enchiladas in the mexican stand were awesome, and the salsa kept... More

Take the time to compare prices and quality as you stroll by the all the shops. Bring cash for some vendors who do not take credit cards, and enjoy fresh bread, fresh pasta, meats, fruits, cheese, nuts, etc. My favorite are all the desserts at the bakeries! Last time, I bought a fresh Calzone! Enjoy!

Great, fresh local food here! Fun to go and try new things, all from local sources. Everything from pasta to cupcakes. There are even places to get food and drink while you shop. Try going with an open mind and picking out some new things to put together for a fun meal at home. There's a whole hallway filled with... More

We went to West Side Market for the first time since we were children. What a blast! We had a wonderful experience. Everything was neat and clean and I had no idea the market was so large! We bought fresh, flavorful produce and high quality meats for much less that the supermarket charges. It is an amazing, magical place. I... More

Newly cleaned up and shining, this market is the real thing; real vendors selling their specialty pasta (Ohio City brand, the best), spices, breads, rarely seen cuts of meat, and every produce available to man. Go, eat and bring something home. I love it because it's not the touristy, fancy markets you see in other cities, but regular people, some... More

voted one of the top markets in the world. Step back in history and view the beautiful building and a visit to a truly old world market with a modern flare. A must visit location when in Cleveland. Also, don't forget the surrounding area with great restaurants and great brewery's.

My children love this place, On the street out front in Ohio city a few of the below mentioned vendors have shops on the main drag . Oracle- The Popcorn Company- just naming two. If you ever have the desire or have been to Great Lakes Brewing its right out the front door across the street from the market, always... More

But my kids go all the time. Want to see something fabulous? Look up Flashmob at the West side market! Awesome! They have all sorts of oddities - pig heads, etc. that are fascinating to kids (not too young, of course). SUPERIOR beef jerky and smokies.

The market is wonderful. Plenty of vendors and food selections. The diversity in people and authentic market selections are great. My two favorites places are Steve's Gyros and Grandma Freda's. the biggest and most awesome best tasting gyros can be found at Steve's. I then find myself in front of Grandma Freda's baked good. Go for the giant red velvet... More

The West Side Market marked their 100 year anniversary this past year and having survived a fire and rebuilt and refurbished, they are back to providing a way to experience the great diversity of Cleveland in foods and people as the crowds gather to find the best in produce, meats, vegetables, bakery -- you name it. Even in January (not... More
