There is certainly something for everyone at the Market. Don't just go for the food, although that is the biggest draw. Enjoy the architecture of the building. Go to the second floor balcony (25th Street entrance) and look out over the stalls and people milling around and making purchases. Have a bratwurst sandwich from Frank's Bratwurst or stand in line... More

How can you not love this historical gem in downtown Cleveland. Come often and patronize the great vendors. I come for special things like sausages, bacon jerky ( OH MY), spices, fresh pasta and tortillas, and most of all - the people watching and the ambiance. Perogies, falafel, crepes, sausages, gyros, chicken feet, pigs feet, dragon fruit, apples, kiwi, cherries, lychees, and the list goes on and on! The West Side Market is a multi-cultural experience to be enjoyed by ALL! Seriously, if you're hungry, go and enjoy..... you can buy just about any kind of food at the WSM. If you are downtown Cleveland, you must stop at the West Side Market to walk around and grab a bite to eat. Fun place to people watch.

We stopped here while passing through Cleveland on our way to Detroit and were glad we did. This is a very interesting place both architecturally and foodwise. Great selection of all kinds of foods including hard to find cuts of meat, imported goods etc. Worth a trip

If you want fresh meats ( veal, lamb, beef, sausage, pork, chicken, turkey. Etc, they have it.). Fresh seafood. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Hard to find herbs and spices like Vietnamese cinnamon.
