That being said, the market is NOT open everyday.... We visited on Friday and having been before on the weekends, I can say that going during the week was like night and day difference. It was still crowded, but not "crazy" crowded and parking is about one thousand percent easier during the week. Whatever you are looking for, you are... More

Imagine a train station-like domed building of beautiful bricks and second level windows, rows of stalls of vendors selling everything from Hungarian bacon, sausages, goat meat, honey, fish of every variety, breads, pasta's, jerky, butter, shellfish, Greek food, Italian food, Polish....If for no other reason than to experience the joy of talking to the great vendors and learning about new... The West Side Market is located in a beautiful historical building. There is a ton of variety in terms of produce, flowers, baked goods, meat, poultry, and spices. I am so glad that we went and had the opportunity to meet and talk to the vendors about their history and products. Although we went on a Saturday morning and it... More

This is a great place to shop for meat! And fresh veggies. So we decided to get different kinds of bacon to try. Fun! And of course we made sure we got a few fresh cannolis for the road. I see bacon in my future! Will be back!

The West Side Market is by far one of my favorite things about Cleveland. I am always satisfied when I leave! When I go, I save money in produce & have the chance to buy some good meat! The bison meat is amazing...must buy. The atmosphere is fun & enjoyable. The only suggestion I have is when buying produce, pick... More

We made this our stop for lunch and was not disappointed. The café /restaurant had a good burger. The market itself, has many vendors of meat and other products, many of which are not common and worth looking at. very crowded, check days open . A must see while in Cleveland Ohio

We spent an hour or so on a Saturday morning browsing these two buildings that comprise the West Side Market. One building was for produce (a few vendors had some flowers) arranged beautifully and abundantly by vendor after vendor in a kind of carnival atmosphere - talking to you as you strolled by while offering samples of fruit. The other... More

I came to the West Side Market on a bus trip this past Wed, July 9, 2014. I came to a pastry display where there were lemon bars in the case. I ordered 4 of them at 2.25 a piece. When I got home the man (tall and good looking, but apparently a schmuck) had given me 2 that were... More

Meat, fish, poultry, produce, flowers, bakery, ethnic foods, cooked food stalls, a diner. It's got everything. The building is lovely inside and has a clock tower outside. I have my go-to vendors for every trip that include the Mexican tamales and empanadas and the Greek pastry galaktoboureko. The West Side Market Cafe is also a standard stop. I like the... More

I visit the West Side Market about once every three months to stock up on hard to find items like an 11 lb. block of Callebaut chocolate and authentic Greek feta (both at Mediterranean Imported Foods) , fresh duck, full rack of ribs, authentic homemade polish sausage and jerky at Czuchraj (where chef Michael Symon gets his). If you're only... More
