The Cleveland Musesm of Art is one of those places you could spend a lifetime exploring and not see the same thing very often. They rotate exhibits, and they leave exhibits alone for you to ponder. This is truly a place that is thought provoking and exciting at the same time. The whole area around the museum, called University Circle... More

The permanent collection in the Cleveland Museum of Art is outstanding. If you are an art lover make sure that you take the time to enjoy this gem. Don't rush through it. There is so much to take in and from so many era's and styles. I can see where young children could be bored in parts of the museum... More

We enjoyed the museum and were impressed by the vast number of collections. There was a lot to see and we didn't see even half of it. I loved the Jacob Lawerence exhibit in particular. The kids were thoroughly entertained in the kids area in Gallery One. The fact that it was free was wonderful and we will be returning... More

An amazing art museum- for no fee at all! Beautiful atrium in the middle of the museum flanked by galleries of all different kinds of art including Himalayan, Islamic, African, Byzantine, and many more. The interactive section is great for kids. I would highly recommend to families and solo travelers alike.

Wonderful art museum in the University Circle area with FREE admission. We went specifically to see the Frederick Church special exhibit "Maine Sublime" and were not disappointed. We enjoyed seeing his sketches and paintings of our beloved Maine and two of our favorite places, Mount Desert Island and Mount Katahdin. We wandered around the 1916 building enjoying many of the... The Cleveland Museum of Art is ranked in the top 5 art museum's within the United States, and rightly so! Opened to the public in 1916, the history of this museum, and the buildings/grounds that house the museum itself, is a wonderful example of society working together to do something right. Winter, summer, spring or fall, this museum, and its... More

We initially went to see the new exhibit and walk around a bit but were pleasantly surprised to see a rehearsal of the orchestra, chorus, soloist and ballet dancers from the Cleveland School of the Art for young people. What a talented group. Just sorry we couldn't stay for the actual performance. Also highly enjoyed the delicious dinner in the... More

Arguably in the top 5 museums in the country. It is a treasure with many treasures in it. You can literally spend a lifetime educating and entertaining yourself. When it is cold outside you can stay in and when the weather is nice you can enjoy the beautiful grounds which coincidentally adjoin the the Garden Club of Cleveland. This is... More
