This should be on the top of any short of places to visit in Cleveland. CMA has an extensive and varied collection of the highest quality. A little smaller than, say, New York or Chicago, this collection can also boast approachability, and a single day's visit would allow plenty of time to appreciate the breadth of the works on display.... Free! Terrific collection. Attractive cafe. Well stocked gift shop. Very friendly staff. A great way to spend a few hours roaming around both the modern and the old buildings which are joined by a great glass rotunda.

I've made it a point for several years to visit the Cleveland Museum of Art at least once a year, and it never fails to amaze, enlighten and spur thought. The new atrium is my favorite spot ANYWHERE in the Cleveland area - just a spectacular space, that creates a wow moment every single time I see it. Each of... More

This is one of the best values for anyone who lives, works, or visits Cleveland. We took our entire multi-generational family there and everyone from age 2 - 94 years found lots to enjoy. The baby thought the green statue in the Modern Art gallery looked like a giant Play Doh (it did!) and the wheelchair-bound 94 yr. old loved... More

Beautiful building with lovely surroundings. Easy to get to as you can just hope on the tram from the city centre which takes you straight to the university district. Staff were very helpful and there was plenty to see. Not quite as good as other US art galleries but this one is free which is fantastic.

The "new" expanded museum has one of the finest Asian art collections in the world in a setting and space that it has long needed. With the dramatic expansion of space and the wonderfully integrated architecture, all of its collections now can be seen in spaces the equal of any in the world. There are many kid-friendly exhibits that were... More

Excellent collection. A wide range of visual art from many cultures, including antiquities. Also a great armor collection that will amuse the kids. Terrific new renovation with lots of space.

This place is worth return visits - again and again. There is so much to see, and best of all, it is free! This was our third visit - once about 20 years ago, the second time about 4 years ago. It has been refurbished and updated, but the massive and impressive collections remain. It's just a beautiful place.
