There is something for everyone so do yourself a favor and come downtown! You can spend a little or spend a lot of money depending what you find! Original paintings, hand blown glass, handmade one of a kind jewelry pieces, framed & unframed photographs, quilts, tapestries, clothing, furniture, wonderful vintage items...I could go on and on with the "treasures" you... Be sure to check out all the cool places on 6th St NW in the arts district. Lynda Tuttle's Art Center and Gallery was incredible, our favorite stop! The artwork and the open layout made for a pleasent experience. Plus Lynda pointed us to a fun vintage clothing shop next door, a fine Asian restaurant at the corner and a... More

There's some great galleries downtown Canton. 2nd April, Journey, Tuttle Gallery and more. More restaurants and coffee shops have come to the area too, making it a fun place to visit...especially on First Friday of each month.

Coming from a native Cantonion by birth, the Canton Art's District has become a bustle and a hub for the city of Canton and I am so proud. Having moved to Columbus now myself (studying nothing less than art itself), I can't help but compare Canton to Columbus' Short North Art District in many ways, all of which offer an... More

If you enjoy art galleries, great folks, good food, and great deals, then downtown Canton is the place to visit. There are several wonderful jewelry stores such as Gassers, Julz, and Capestrains. I have shopped in all three over the years. Second Aprile Gallery is a wonderful collective of many artists who create beautiful works of art. Brennis Booth, the... More

This is a really nice attraction for Canton, hopefully they can expand to more of it! We enjoy being able to walk around the area and seeing it make such a powerful comeback.

Something for everyone. Theatre, art, movies and of course some GREAT dining. Kudos to Arts in Stark abd the Visitor's Bureau for all that you've done. Make this your "first stop" on "First Fridays".

We really came to Canton to see the McKinley museum and memorial, but we ended up in downtown Canton. I'm a photographer and love shooting street and architecture. We found out about the historic Stark County Courthouse and went to see it in person. Once we started walking around we found the Arts District and spent most of our time... More

I love to walk around the area especially during First Friday's . It is growing and emerging all the time. Nice that the arts are alive in Canton.
