This is probably Mahoning County's greatest asset. As a runner/walker, I am in the park several days a week year long. Its natural, untouched beauty never disappoints. Explore the gardens, marvel at the bridges and enjoy all the amenities this wonderful place has to offer.

Millcreek Park is a beautiful area with lots to see and do. Lanterman's Mill, the old covered bridge, Glacier and Newport lakes, a wetland sanctuary and waterfalls. so pretty in the summer and winter.

Have made numerous visits to this gem, even held our wedding there. The garden cafe is cozy and best fresh macaroon cookies I have ever had. If in the area, make it a stopping point. You will be glad you did.

A very great place to get out and chill, the clean open Air will make you feel relaxed and at ease. A great place to go to if you want to spend some time with family and children, also a good place to spend some time with your partner.

A friend invited me to go on a bike ride at the Metroparks Bikeway starting in Canfield Ohio. Sure glad I went. We started just across from the Canfield Fairgrounds. We decided to go the whole trail to Niles, Ohio. The trip was about 27 miles all together. The trail was all paved, level and plenty wide. Many benches to... More

The Mill Creek Park is the crown jewel of the Youngstown/Mahoning County area. I grew up in that area and didn't realize how fortunate we were that the park is so well maintained and kept up. There are simply too many areas to name but you can do anything from row boating, paddleboating, garden viewing, etc. My favorite place to... More

A gorgeous forest setting especially beautiful in the Fall and Spring although a case could be made for winter scenes. This lovely drive through park has 3 lakes to drive around and beautiful gardens to explore. Very well kept up and is over 100 years old. Probably one of the most peaceful parks we have ever visited. Scenic, great trails... More

There are options and activities here for all ages. There are great programs run by the park, the cost of renting pavilions is extremely reasonable, and they seem to constantly be adding improvements. It's really the gem of this area.
