We stayed two nights in a pet friendly hillside cabin. Cabins are very rustic with wood paneling, nice screened in porch. Two bunk beds in one room and full size bed in other bedroom. Tableware is for six people. My only complaint is lack of counter space in the bathroom, an additional shelf or credenza would be helpful. Attached is... More

It was a beautiful fall day and we decided to take the boat out for awhile. There is a house that can be reached by boat or car, called the Kennedy House and Museum. It overlooks the lake and it's an old stone house with a big oval stone food cellar. You can tour it during certain hours of the... More

Several hiking trails, but not maintained, marina and nice lake for boating, plenty of deer and other wildlife to see.

Some pictures and other adventures in camping here: http://walkerinet.blogspot.com/2013/09/our-visit-to-salt-fork-state-park.html Our Rating is 4 stars out of 5 - Ohio's largest state park. The campground is large with several widely spaced camping loops. Some sites offer full hookups. Beautiful park and campground that is showing its age around the edges but is well maintained. This being our first year of camping... More

We went to the park for a family reunion. Several of our group stayed in the lodge while others stayed in the lakeside cabins. This worked out well. When the sun was shining we were at the cabins; when it rained we stayed at the lodge. The best thing about the lodge is that guests on the lake side would often... More

I believe this is the largest state park in Ohio. It is huge. I recommend finding a map to assist you in getting to the part of the lake you are interested to being. There are several boat docks and plenty of parking for boat trailers. There is no question that the lake is absolutely gorgeous and stocked. Without a... More
