This was our first visit to Salt Fork and we will definitely be back! We hiked Morgan's Knob and the Shadbush trail. The bridle trail areas we saw were pretty muddy and we didn't try those at this time. I really enjoyed the different terrain and the views of the lakes near the trails. We did see a sign in... More

Stopped on our way home to Denver from Pittsburgh. It was a Sunday and there seemed like there was hardly anyone there (which is a good thing). Just took a right on a random road. Found a good spot to pull off with a picnic table in a clearing. Decided to take a walk on one of the trails leading... More

Great park with varied ecosystems, lots of hills and lakeshore, rugged trails, good facilities. We will definitely return.

There is no bike trails AT ALL! None! Unless you like swimming in a private beach covered in goose poop, or a public beach that looks like an abandoned murder mystery, there isn't much else to do. We left a night early and have been waiting for our refund. That was 4 months ago! Not a good experience at all.... More

WE recently had a family reunion at Salt Fork State Park in Ohio. The park was beautiful and so quiet. Our very nice room had a small balcony which overlooked the lake. In the mornings the deer were right out there playing for us to enjoy. The service was fantastic. We had rented the Morgan room that was very clean... More

Salt Fork is one of the premier of Ohio's many great state parks. The lake has two unlimited horsepower zones for tubers, skiers, boaters and pwc enthusiasts. It also has miles of fisherman friendly no wake zones. There is a nice, clean beach for day users as well as another for campers. Although we have never stayed at the campground,... More

I have a summer home near the park. This park has everything, something for everyone. I am an adventurist, so I hike the bridle trails regularly. If you combine the designated hiking trails, the Buckeye trail and the bridle trails, you could be hike for a long, long time. The bridle trails are loops, but there are no maps per... More

Love camping here. Only small issue,is showers need an update. Beautiful scenery and camp sites are nice. Friendly folks all around. Hocking Hills could take some advice from here.

We decided to stay at Salt Fork when we decided to go to the Wilds. We stayed at the lodge although it is very old they had remodeled the rooms and our room overlooked the lake .The room was ok but still needed work. The restaurant was closed until the evening meal when we arrived with only take out which... More

The lake is awesome. The cabins were ok but the setting made up for it. The dining room shuts down between 10:30 and 11:30 for some reason. Don't come at 10:29 either because they will turn you away with rudeness no matter how hangry you may be. I understand shutting down breakfast but closing all together for an hour when... More
