I stopped here with my two young sons. They both loved it. Lots of animals to look at such as an eagle, raccoon, skunk, etc. Fish and reptile exhibit in the building.
Great place for family to spend some time looking at the natural exhibits. Planetarium Program costs extra but the museum and grounds are free. The grounds have many rescued animals that are viewable. Part of the Huntington Reservation and across the street from the beach. Great for kids of all ages, especially for free!
Within the Metroparks system in Bay village, the Lake Erie Nature center is a little treasure for children. Consisting of wildlife displays, rescued animals, a planetarium, classrooms and a wonderful gift shop, the center a great place for children of all ages. The best part is that it is all free!
nice little animal display for the kids. also has a planitarium. Located in a park for picnics and close to the lake
It's well done. The building and grounds are very nice and the exhibits are much nicer than one might think. If you're visiting with youngsters you'll be glad of this place. I was.
I'm really confused. Yes this is a place that has a few animals, but the fact is that these wild animals are in some of the smallest cages/enclosures I've ever seen. It's cool for the kids to be able to see a Bald Eagle up close, but if all it can do is hop from branch to branch and not... More
Great Lakes Science is a GREAT place to visit with the little ones. There is a planetarium show for toddlers on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Great short show to give the little ones a night sky experience! Lots of wild animals outside to enjoy and an array of items inside too. A perfect place to go and learn about Nature!... More
I have been visiting the Nature Center for years & years. It gets more interesting & better every year. They are a phone call away if you find an injured wild animal & they nurse them back to health. The staff are friendly and the exhibits are wonderful! A+ The planetarium is spectacular too! A must see for all ages!!!
Very nice facility that has several different species of animals. Most of which have been injured and nursed back to health, but can't always return to the wild. Raccoons, turtles and even a bald eagle....plus more. Good for a morning outing with kids.
