This cellar door is in the middle of the town, so very easy to find. They have all the usual requisites for a comfortable wine tasting. The staff were lovely and the selection for tasting was good, but not as extensive as some. Worth a visit though.

was always a must visit given its history and tasty wines, and was hoping to learn a bt more about them during our tasting. unfortunately the staff behind the counter were more interested in just handing over the book of tasting options and then leaving it there. not much smiling or communication, but again very tasty wine and on main... After visiting The Almond Train, we stopped at Hardy's Winery so that we can buy our favourite wine. Inside there is a nice display of wines and information. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The winery is easy to find along the main street through McLaren Vale and although arriving just before closing time the staff at the cellar door were still happy to tend to us. They took the time to make us feel like we had all day to taste their wines and never did we feel rushed. Set in an a... More

The place is historic and pleasant. The wines are good quality and reasonably priced. Tasting staff are friendly and professional. A good place to visit when in McLaren Vale but there are many places with similar vibe and atmosphere.

I had avoided this place for a while as I had mass produced wine in mind but the reality is much better in person. There is a large range of wines including some non traditionals. There is something for everyone. the building is lovely and the grounds are gorgeous.

This is one of the older wineries in McLaren Vale, and possibly the most historic. Well located, virtually in the middle of the town. You can taste wine if you want to, but if you don't, they have a nifty self guided walk of the gardens, featuring the most amazingly intricate Morton Bay Fig tree and a fine collection of... More

Hardys is an institution in Main Road, McLaren Vale - been here since the 19th century. The Tintara range of wines are consistently very good quality and there is a good range of wine available. Right at the moment they are selling 2006 Tintara Shiraz and 2006 Tintara Cabernet for $15 a bottle which is very good value. People at... More
