The Bridal Gap walk is a brilliant walk for views and wildlife spotting. Take a lunch and sit at the gap and enjoy the vistas.

We stayed 2 nights, and spent a full day riding the dirt roads around the majestic landscapes of the Flinders Ranges, visiting Blinman, Parachilna, and back to Wilpena Pound. The camping ground is good, with hot showers, good facilities and fuel.

Stayed at the Resort - excellent (see separate review). Took the flight over Wilpena Pound and surrounding ranges. It's awesome - a bucket-list sort of experience. And then we did a few walks in the vicinity of the Pound, Drought-masters, Hills Homestead and up to Wangarra Lookout on the lip of the Pound itself. Well worth the effort. Next cab... More

We stayed in our caravan on a powered site and did the walks , the amenities were clean and there was plenty of hot water for the showers . The photo opportunities are everywhere , I think the walks and drives will appeal to most even if your not a dedicated photographer you will still enjoy the scenery with all... More

Wilpena Pound was looming large in my imagination, but to be honest we approached the park from the northern entrance and I found this to be a lot more interesting than the actual pound. From a photographer's perspective I also found the view at the southern end of the park to be more scenic than the actual pound. The walks... More

Didn't stay here but did a day visit. We are too old to be great walkers but enjoyed the walk we did to the lookout. Cheated and took the shuttle bus part way. Great scenery and staff very helpful.

The couple we visited Wilpena Pound with had visited before many many years ago and were disappointed that it seemed to be a bushwalking experience now as opposed to a sightseeing experience. Disappointing for us but only because the other couple was reasonably elderly and couldn't walk far enough to see the actual Pound. We did 3kms and then had... More

Although we had waited a long time to visit Wilpena Pound I am glad we went. We stayed in serviced accommodation which was adequate. The shop on site carries adequate supplies and the restaurant and bar prices were comparable to other "outback" places. We found the staff at Reception, the shop and restaurant friendly and helpful. However, as written in... More

We had a great time. The walk up and over and thru the pound was great. We did it on a cool day which was ideal. Took about 7 hours with lunch. Bridal gap is worth the trek. A HUGE SPECIAL MENTION to Rob and her crew in the shop. They helped us thru a rough time. Their caring attitude... More
