We had a fun visit to Rainforestation yesterday. The Dukw drive was a hoot, made more so by Scotty, a somewhat tongue in cheek follower of the stars of Walkabout Creek ;-) He made it interesting and worthwhile. Sadly some of his booking office colleagues used too loud voices to deny visitors (not us!) wishes, which rankled and spolied the... more

Did not enjoy our experience here at all. We went on the Duck Tour ride, as I was mad keen to go on one of these in a rainforest - after all they were designed for this sort of terrain! It was overpriced, and the tour was meant to last an hour. You know when you're in trouble when the... more

Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your visit to Rainforestation Nature Park. Our Army Duck Tour of the rainforest has been operating for over 30 years, and customer feedback has conveyed that it is good value for money. We have always presented the Army Duck Tour as a rainforest tour, it is not an amusement park ride. It concentrates...

We did this as part or a skyrail / railway package. Overall we thought it was pretty good. Included is a guided tour of the sanctuary, an army duck tour through the rainforest, an Aboriginal dance show and boomerang throwing. My mum usually hates organised tours but found she learned loads about Australian wildlife and rainforests. I enjoyed the wildlife,... more

Dont go here!!! You wont see the real Kuranda! If you hop onto one of the 'Rainforest Station' buses it means you miss out on the opportunity to see the wonderful and historic 'Kuranda Village' with its famous markets. The buses take you kms out of Kuranda so you dont actually get to visit the town at all. My family... more

Sorry to hear you were disappointed with the location of Rainforestation. We clearly promote Rainforestation Nature Park as being 5 minutes outside of Kuranda Village. The majority of our visitors feel that there is plenty of time to explore both Kuranda Village and Rainforestation in one day, and for many, Rainforestation is a key part of the 'real' Kuranda experience...

This is a great place to bring kids. Although, we didnt! I was there with my wife and we had a ball. There's plenty of wildlife to see and the army duck ride is a must do. It rained like crazy, but hey, it's a rainforest. We even say a Casuary! There is lots to do and Kuranda is a... more

Even the rain could not dampen our enthusiasm! We had a gourmet lunch taken from the freshly prepared buffet with steaks cooked to your liking, a variety of salads and hot food. The cultural diplay of Indigenous Australians dancing was awe inspiring and creative, followed by interpretation of their "didgeridoo" and boomerang. The duck tour was the most impressive, being... more
