We went with two younger kids- it is a quite easy walk and not too far through the rainforest. The lookout has a great view of the Jourama Falls. Bring clothes for swimming as you can swim in several creeks along the walk. We did a swim in the nearest one to the Parking lot on our way back, and... More

This place is truly a hidden delight!! The scenery while walking up to the lookout is breathtaking! It is well worth the 800mt or so walk to the top. There are water holes everywhere to have a dip in that are so clear you can see the bottom. The facilities are super clean and while we camped here the ranger... More

This place is a real treasure, the camping facilities are top notch and well positioned. take the effort to walk up through the creek to one of the swimming holes, this would be a fabulous thing to do for a romantic getaway or to have fun with friends. best stay maybe two nights though as you may run out of... Well worth the walk to the falls, nice picnic area with heaps of turtles in the water. Such great geology, the rocks are so amazing and the water is so clear.

A lovely little spot for a day trip from Townsville. Take a picnic or camping grounds available with basic amenities. The lookout walk is for moderately fit people. Not pram friendly but still great for kids in the lower areas.

Beautiful walk and wonderful waterfalls. Walk down to the first and waterfall by sticking to the right side of the rocks, and there is a second waterfall behind you can sit under. It's slippery so be careful. Go back to the first small waterfall pool, cross over the pool and head up around the front right side of the rocks... More

A short walk provides some nature experience. However, if it's not been raining recently don't expect much in the way of 'Falls'. IMHO, it's not worth the 90km drive from Townsville as a day trip. But if you're passing by on route to Cairns or Port Douglas then, yes, make the stop.

We have a 7 meter motorhome and got in easily. I would not try it in the wet season as there is a shallow causeway to cross. The camp is secluded and tranquil. Although the walk to the lookout is tough it is ok if you take your time. There is steps that are steep but there is seats to... More

Jourama Falls are located at the end of a walk through the scrub in Paluma National Park. The falls themselves are quite disappointing unless there has been a good downpour for a week of so. The start of the walk is very pretty walking across the creek on a man made track by the Rangers. You can swim all of... More
