Really long waterfalls with a nice view!

A short hike, easy to reach, paved trail and manmade steps to lead you to a viewing platform to view the whole waterfall. One of the longest ones I have seen so far and really... read more

I'm sure this would be a lovely spot with normal rainfall... as it was the rock pools were more rocks than pools and the waterfall very underwhelming. But still very peaceful and pretty and enjoyed climbing over the rocks. After reading that it was an easy walk, took my elderly parents - who couldn't walk very far along the track... More

Only about 93 kms from Townsville is this very beautiful national park, well part of the Paluma Range National Park. The walking tracks are very well set up with non slip mats in some places. We went up to the look out first and I call it an easy walk, then we ventured up to some of the rock pools... More

First time camping at Jourama & the view at night with the stars is breathtaking. You need to pre-book online thought so be mindful of that. It is so quiet & dark & relaxing - definitely a place to get away for a night if you need to unwind. We stayed two nights & I spent time reading & we... More

While we didn't have time to do the full trek to the falls the walk along the river bed and crossing the stream was beautiful. Great photo shoot opportunities. Saw a turtle sunning itself on the rocks. Squealed with delight which startled the turtle who slid in the water....lost photo opportunity. The lesson learned is to tone down excitement

It was a lot quicker to the falls than I thought. The valley and the rock pools are nice. The falls were a little dry even for this time of the year.

I went in April and the hike was enjoyable although there was no indication of its difficulty for elderly (just a couple km but constantly ascending/descending) and I passed several people who had turned back. Once at the lookout near the falls, the amount of water was anticlimactic. It was a multi-level drop, though, and still impressive.

We went with two younger kids- it is a quite easy walk and not too far through the rainforest. The lookout has a great view of the Jourama Falls. Bring clothes for swimming as you can swim in several creeks along the walk. We did a swim in the nearest one to the Parking lot on our way back, and... More

This place is truly a hidden delight!! The scenery while walking up to the lookout is breathtaking! It is well worth the 800mt or so walk to the top. There are water holes everywhere to have a dip in that are so clear you can see the bottom. The facilities are super clean and while we camped here the ranger... More
