I also had Sigrid all to myself, she is indeed very knowledgeable about the island and catered the tour towards my interests. We explored Picnic Bay, Cockle Bay and Alma Bay and visited a small museum on the history of the island which I found very interesting, and a small aquarium at Nelly Bay that had a giant clam. I... Went in the off-season & had one of the owners/guide, Sigrid, all to myself! Sigrid was uber friendly & very knowledgeable about the history, populace, flora & fauna of the island. This tour provided a great overview of 'Maggie', it was a brilliant mixture of history (Museum), scenery (visited all of road-accessible beaches & bays), plants & wildlife (wallabies, fish,... More

This was what should have been a one hour tour padded out to three hours and twenty minutes. The vehicle: old, dirty, poorly maintained, uncomfortable, difficult to get in and out of, poor viewing. The guide: a self opinionated, frustrating, ex hippy. Knowledgable but long winded. His was the only opinion! Very quickly we all became annoyed with his constant... More

We booked the jeep tour as we only had one day to see the island. What an afternoon we had. Its was perfect. We were taken to all parts of the island and it all very pleasant and informative, tailored to our interest in animals and wildbirds. We saw things and learnt about things that only someone living on this... More

We travelled in the stretch jeep with driver Mal during school holidays. The tour visits all relevant parts of the island and gives you a great overall idea of what is available. Mal was very knowledgeable and friendly. Although the idea of travelling in a stretch jeep seems great, it is very awkward to get in and out of, particularly... More

I took the 3 Hour Eco/Orientation adventure which the website notes that it explores the bays, habitat and environs of the island! Sit back on the pure leather seats and enjoy the cool wind in your hair as you take in the breathtaking scenery of Magnetic Island. Most informative tour on Magnetic Island; All main areas: Nelly, Picnic, Cockle, Geoffrey,... More

The three hour Eco/Orientation Tour was a great way to get an overview of Magnetic Island. Mal our driver and guide was an amusing and informative guide, and passionate about all things relating to the island. The stretch jeep was a fun way to travel around, and we visited all the main bays as well as lookouts, the museum and nature... More

We wished we would have taken this tour. Let me explain: we arrived in Magnetic island and rented a car thinking we would do our own tour, but you really need a good guide to see what the island has to offer. For example, we were looking for koalas and thought the best way was to hike the Forts but... More

We saw the stretch, open air jeep from our Room and knew it looked like fun. It was an informative fun, way to visit all areas of the island. We learned about the wildlife, and visited the museum. The views were amazing as we discovered the picturesque beaches. Mal, a long time local shared his passion for Magnetic Island and... More
