I heard that people come from all over the world for the walking tracks. I never done them myself, but I love the look outs and the new holiday village. Great restaurant. Stop over for lunch or dinner every time. More

Nice and peaceful if you want to recharge batteries,but lots of activities ,hiking,swimming ,snorkeling ,sailing. More

I disliked nothing and found cardwell to be central to Cairns in the north 180kms and Townsville 180kms south to go visit was good for a getaway. More

The scenic views are amazing. Limited visitation preserves the wilderness feel - hard to believe you are on Australia's East Coast. Memories that last a lifetime, quite literally! More

An opportunity to get back to nature and see this amazing island the best way possible...on foot! Take 3 days or more to hike from one end to the other passing through the various habitats and changing environment as you go. There are camp sites along the way and a policy of you carry everything you need in, leave nothing... More

it has such a natural beauty. fishing is excellent. you may spot a croc, as they are there. zoe bay falls is great. mulligans fall is great too just love it More

There are few experiences like walking the Thorsborne Trail, I have now completed this 4 times over the past 16 years. You can complete over 3 to 5 days one way, walking either north or south. This necessitates booking camping on the island with the Queensland Environmental Protection Agency and arranging the ferry drop off / pick up at either... More
