We offer an Exotic Fruit Tasting and Orchard Tour every day at 2 pm. There is always ten different tropical fruit on the menu - fruit you have probably never heard of,with names like 'chocolate pudding fruit' and 'creme caramel fruit'.We show you how to prepare and eat the fruit, share interesting stories about the fruit from around the world, and then take you for a walk through the orchard which has more than 2000 fruit trees from the Amazon, Borneo and the Caribbean. This tour is not just a plate of fruit - it offers a special experience which cannot be found anywhere else and is great fun.

Exotic Fruit Tasting

Lovely people, fantastic fun tasting over 13 different types of exotic fruit, brilliantly informative and plenty to eat, don't have a big lunch before hand.

Last year (August 2014) we stayed in this exotic fruit farm (thanks to the lonely planet)and I must say that this was the most romantic place I have stayed so far. The cottage we stayed in had all neede amenities, it was clean, spacious, cozy, tastefully decorated and had an amazing view. We had a parking spot and a place... More

Went to Cape Trib for an overnighter with my sister for her birthday. We stumbled upon this place and couldn't have been happier. The accommodation is five cabins in the orchard with perfect little balconies which are perfect for wine, cheese and bickies. Breakfast is provided which includes an incredible fruit basket from the orchard. There is a great communal... More

Taking in the sights we thought we'd have a look and try some exotic tropical fruit. Sign posts on the streets lead us up and past it to a dead end. Drove back down the road looking for any clue and asked a local who was mowing the grass out front of her property. Know where the exotic fruit place... More

The property has been sold, the business has been closed, and the owners in their mid sixties have retired and moved to town. All the advertising signage and brochures have been removed. There may be a time lag for some removal requests. The purported conversation indicates that in Australian vernacular, it was a joke and that they were 'taking the... More

This is a magical place, where you can pick freely from an abundance of fruit, stay in your own peaceful and well furnished en suite cabin/studio and swim in your own waterhole in the rainy season. Before you stay just check they have the water situation sorted - we found twice that the water was not running even for a... More

This accommodation is no longer run by Cape Trib Exotic Fruit Farm. Cape Trib Exotic Fruit Farm is now operating purely as a commercial orchard. We have sold the tourism part of the property and no longer do fruit tasting tours or B&B. The cottages described in this review are now operated as Wildwood Cape Tribulation, and are holdiay rentals..... More

the nature, the cottage, the owner and her friendlyness, the peace, the weather :-) - the easy access to Great Barrier Reef Tour, simply everything!!!! I was there second time and, if ever possible, will try to go there next year again

Just got back from the exotic fruit farm, and I feel stuffed with delicious fruit! The friendly and clearly extremely knowledgeable staff are able to give a massive amount of information while not feeling like a lecture. I wish I had taken a notebook, as I'll never remember it all! I had never heard of or seen anything like some... More

Being a foodie myself, I would jump at the chance to try something new and different! This session is a laid back fun experience for all ages to try new fruits that most haven't even heard of. We drove from Cairns to see the daintree and then on to this, was well worth it.
