Owner description: We offer an Exotic Fruit Tasting and Orchard Tour every day at 2 pm. There is always ten different tropical fruit on the menu - fruit you have probably never heard of,with names like 'chocolate pudding fruit' and 'creme caramel fruit'.We show you how to prepare and eat the fruit, share interesting stories about the fruit from around the world, and then take you for a walk through the orchard which has more than 2000 fruit trees from the Amazon, Borneo and the Caribbean. This tour is not just a plate of fruit - it offers a special experience which cannot be found anywhere else and is great fun.

Just got back from the exotic fruit farm, and I feel stuffed with delicious fruit! The friendly and clearly extremely knowledgeable staff are able to give a massive amount of information while not feeling like a lecture. I wish I had taken a notebook, as I'll never remember it all! I had never heard of or seen anything like some... More

Being a foodie myself, I would jump at the chance to try something new and different! This session is a laid back fun experience for all ages to try new fruits that most haven't even heard of. We drove from Cairns to see the daintree and then on to this, was well worth it.

Since I enjoy gardening and growing produce, I was really looking forward to this excursion and learning about a different ecosystem than the one in Texas. I read all the reviews; most were positive, so I figured this would be a great experience. We arrived approximately 15-20 minutes early. My husband and I were stopped by Allison (I assume) as... I actually love talking about my chickens, but the timing was wrong – ie your car was blocking the driveway; cars were queued up behind you, waiting to be told where to park; and more cars were coming down the driveway; and with you sitting in the car with the engine running, engaging in conversation was difficult. So for the... More

This was started by Alison and Digby Gotts as a fruit farm in the late 1980's. They grew a variety of fruits taken from tropical areas all over the world. They provide a fruit tasting session and lecture on ten different fruits taken from their orchard on a daily basis. This is a fascinating insight into the different fruits which... More

This is a well worth guided tour of exotic fruit, with tasting of what is currently in season and then a tour of the grounds. Enthusiastic people on the farm show you fruit from all over the world that will grow in the specific climate. There is only one warning, you have to book the tour prior to arriving as... More
