The best thing was saw was a little bird sleeping on a branch. The kids were little champions considering the boredom. The only thing making it exciting was the darkness and anticipation of possibility. All this said, it was a coldish night in July. So perhaps things are far better in other seasons when it's warmer.

This $45 pp night walk seemed quite scripted and you could learn more about the plants on one of the free boardwalks nearby. For a night walk, you would expect to see wildlife, but I see more possums in my backyard in Melbourne. In the end, it was all about plants, which you couldn't even see at night. After I... More

Family of 3 did this walk on a day where it hadnt rained (thankfully). If it had been wet, the path would have been very slippery and quite dangerous. Not an easy walk - lots of rocks and vines to step over. We saw very little on this walk - a bird, frog, and a couple of spiders and insects.... More

Great guides, not a boardwalk tour so don't expect one.. It's the wild and not a zoo so don't expect the animals to be jumping out at you.. Lots of fun and if it's raining even better.. A must do whilst in the Daintree.

Although we didn't see many exotic animals the tour guides were hilarious and very knowledgeable and great at pointing out different spiders, lizards and plants in the rainforrest. We felt at ease instantly despite originally being quite nervous about the experience and ended up learning a lot. Could have been improved by slowing the walking pace down as there wasn't... More

Following a full day of Daintree goodness (Paddle Trek, Jungle Surfing, long run on the beach) I didn’t know if I’d be up for a 2 hr night walk through the jungle. Thank goodness I was and I did. What a fresh and meaningful way to see the woods. Our guide, Angie, knew every facet of the forest, giving us... More

Our guide for the night walk was Dwight, a very interesting and likeable character. He pointed out up front that we would likely spot most of the wildlife...which was to be expected given the combined number of eyes compared to his two. We saw some cool insects including white kneed crickets, a few spiders, cyclids, spiny backed crickets, fire flies,... More

It was quite a nice walk through the private rainforest of the operator. We've seen fungus which glows in the dark, some dragons, sleeping birds, sleeping butterflies and a few mammals. The tour guide Angie explained on the way some interesting facts about the rainforest and its inhabitants. I don't give more points since we were rushing through the jungle... More

Despite we saw quite a few animals (snakes, lizards, crickets, frogs,...) me and my partner where very disappointed by the tour, and here is why: (1) 80% of all animals where not found by the guide, but by others. The guide often just passed by the animals, was not looking in trees, etc but was rather concentraiting on the track,... More

If we could give this a zero we would. It had rained HARD all day and my husband and I were pretty sure we would not see much (we are biologists) given the heavy rain and wind; the tour should have been cancelled. The guide was rude, telling my husband he had to walk at the back because of his... More
