I decided to do this activity as there isn't much else to do in Cape Trib. The group was only me, 2 girls, and the guide. I had a fantastic time, on a good 2 hour walk or so. Saw quite a lot of interesting things: spiders, lizards, hollow trees, glowing logs, fireflys. You've got to remember it is in... More

I went on this tour without expectations and was pleasantly surprised by an awesome experience. Our guide for the evening was Angie (a professional biologist from Germany who has lived in the Daintree for the last 5 years). From the outset Angie told us that it would be hit and miss if we saw animals, but I was hoping we... More

We went to this activity knowing that it was going to be difficult to see any big animal as in Cape Tribulation is quite hard to really find a Cassuary or a Tree Kangaroo. Anyway we finally saw a snake (the guide was extremely excited), a spider, ants and shining fungus. It could be OK because of the noises of... More

The highlights of this walk were not so much the nocturnal creatures seen by torchlight but the senses that came alive once the torches were out, including seeing luminescent fungi on the bark of fallen logs. Our guide was Julie, the young American, who was enthusiastic and knowledgable about the rainforest. Much of what she pointed out could have been... More

I booked this night walk as a package with Jungle Surfing for my family. We were all very excited as we'd been told we were likely to have 'Ollie' who apparently has an excellent knowledge of the forest. Unfortunately I knew this experience wasn't going to live up to expectations when our guide turned out to be a very young... More

To be honest I did not read the below reviews but booked this walk as part of a package attached to the jungle surfing (zip-lining) offered by the same company. Having only average expectations, I was absolutely blown away by this. The success of this excursion hinged heavily on our exceptional guide - Ollie. Regaling us with his day's exploits... More

Although the guide tried very hard to keep the large group entertained, there really wasn't anything to see except an impressive spider at the very start of the walk. If you are looking for expert insight into the nocturnal attractions of the Daintree rainforest, then you should look elsewhere.

This walk was more suited as a day tour then a night one. Learned lots on plants and trees but barely anything on the nocturnal species of the area !! Even if there wasn't anything to see at least talk about what's out there instead of the greenery. Any chance we had of seeing anything vanished after the guide starting... More

When was the last time you walked in the second largest rainforest in the world at night with an experienced tour guide? Definitely give it a try, might not be for everyone but it is an enjoyable walk.

After reading some of the other reviews after getting back from Cape Trib, I am truly surprised by others reactions! Yes it is $40 but personally, we thought it was well worth the money! Although the tour groups are around 10/12 people, if you are a person of average fitness then you will be able to keep up with the... More
