Owner description: Ocean Safari offers an exhilarating ride to snorkel the pristine untouched Great Barrier Reef off the Daintree Coast at Cape Tribulation. This half day eco tour visits two different snorkel destinations, each with an extraordinary array of marine life and coral species. The tour begins at Cape Tribulation beach where guests board the newly built vessel bound for the tropical waters of the Great Barrier Reef. After an exhilarating fast ride of approximately 25 minutes guests are ready to snorkel two fabulous locations at Mackay and Undine Reefs. On most days the rainforest can be seen along the mainland beach whilst snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, home to an abundance of marine life as well as beautiful hard and soft corals. The Ocean Safari vessel takes a maximum of 25 passengers allowing guests to experience tropical paradise and the pleasure of a small group. The vessel is based on the original design of a rescue craft and is a rigid inflatable boat driven by 700hp engines. The experienced Skipper and Eco Host ensure the trip is filled with fun and appreciation of the Great Barrier Reef and the coastal rainforest of the Daintree, two world heritage areas side by side. Magical memories like these sometimes only happen once in a lifetime. The Ocean Safari check in office is the Boardwalk Cafe, Cape Tribulation Road and a courtesy bus pick up from Cape Tribulation accommodation is included. Ocean Safari has advanced Eco Accreditation.

Me, my hubby, two young children (5 & 9yrs old) and their grandpa recently took a trip to the Great Barrier Reef with Oceans Safari in Cape Tribulation. It was a fabulous experience and I can't recommend it enough. Cape Tribulation is the closest point to the reef so it only takes 25 mins to get out to the reef... More

Absolutely beautiful tour! We were taken to two different spots in the reef which were just perfect. These guys are the only ones that offer this tour so there was just a small group of us who had this part of the reef to ourselves. It was unforgettably breathtaking. Cam and Kane definitely know their stuff which helps you feel... More

I’ve just returned to Sydney after spending three unforgettable days in the breathtaking Cape Tribulation, and what an amazing adventure it was! We booked the Ocean Safari tour and the wonderful thing about this tour is that they are the only company that go to this specific area of the reef and they only take small groups, meaning we had... Ocean Safari is an amazing way to see the reef in Far North Queensland. The adventure takes approximately 25 people on a purpose built powered craft out to Mackay & Undine Reefs for a half day snorkelling or dive experience on pristine outer reef. Definitely not to be missed !

Jason & Kane were a wealth of knowledge. We had a beautiful day and the ocean was like glass. Mackay Reef was spectacular.. Reef sharks, turtles and fish galore! Go here over the Port Doulgas reef tours any day!

We had a great trip, guides were fab they knew everything there is to know about the reef, trip size was great no hassle seeing all the fish and avoided the huge crowds going out of cairns!!! We saw turtles, sharks, lots of fish and beautiful corals. Would highly recommend going out of cape tribulation

This is a great way to do some snorkelling on the reef in half a day. Quick 30 min trip to the reef, great snorkelling in a couple of locations for an hour each, then back again. We did the morning trip and were back in Cape Trib by 12.30. Cam and Jase have a great attitude - very relaxed... More

Cam and Jason were the coolest guides ever- took us to the best spots and had everyone feeling comfortable and confident. I saw 6 turtles, colourful parrotfish that looked like rainbow paddlepops, schools of cuttlefish, stingrays, GIANT clams and so many incredible coral formations. LOVED IT! Also Princess the dog is hilarious, i miss her already.

This is without a doubt the best reef trip in FNQ. The boys were fantastic and put in so much effort to ensure everyone had the best time. The reef was incredible and the most pristine I've seen and it's only a 20 minute boat trip out to the reef. Thanks so much for the best day ocean safari!!!!

As you go further north from Cairns and beyond Port Douglas, there are less people, boat tours get smaller and the marine life gets better. I'm so glad we found Ocean Safari because it was the best snorkeling we experienced on the GBR (MacKay Reef). The staff were great and had everyone laughing and having fun yet they were safety...
