Description: Ocean Safari offers an exhilarating ride to snorkel the pristine untouched...
Ocean Safari offers an exhilarating ride to snorkel the pristine untouched Great Barrier Reef off the Daintree Coast at Cape Tribulation. This half day eco tour visits two different snorkel destinations, each with an extraordinary array of marine life and coral species. The tour begins at Cape Tribulation beach where guests board the vessel bound for the tropical waters of the Great Barrier Reef. After an exhilarating fast ride of approximately 25 minutes guests are ready to snorkel two fabulous locations at Mackay and Undine Reefs. On most days the rainforest can be seen along the mainland beach whilst snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, home to an abundance of marine life as well as beautiful hard and soft corals. The Ocean Safari vessel takes a maximum of 25 passengers allowing guests to experience tropical paradise and the pleasure of a small group. The vessel is based on the original design of a rescue craft and is a rigid inflatable boat driven by 700hp engines. The experienced Skipper and Eco Host ensure the trip is filled with fun and appreciation of the Great Barrier Reef and the coastal rainforest of the Daintree, two world heritage areas side by side. Magical memories like these sometimes only happen once in a lifetime. The Ocean Safari check in office is at the Turtle Rock Cafe and Jungle Lodge, Cape Tribulation Road and a courtesy bus pick up from Cape Tribulation accommodation is included. Ocean Safari has Advanced Eco Accreditation.

This crew runs a great activity. Wet suits supplied, a few special optical snorkel-masks are available. It may be wise to contact them to see if they have something to suit your needs if you wear spectacles. No worries for those with contacts I suppose. The 25 minute trip out to the reef, on the rigid-inflatable boat, is an adventure... More

We had not planned to take a snorkel trip during our 4 days at the Daintree, thinking we could do that out of Cairns where there are more trips and save our Daintree time for other activities. We are very happy that we changed our minds and took Ocean Safari out of Cape Tribulation. The small boat and small group,... More

Thoroughly enjoyed the trip out and back as well as some excellent snorkeling at two sites. Jason (captain) and Cain (snorkeller extraordinaire) set the tone and there were smiles all round. Enjoyed swimming with the turtles, and seeing stingrays, schools of baby squid, Nemo and lots of fish.

If there is one thing you do in Cape Trib make this it. Kane and Jason were great tour leaders. Not only was the snorkelling amazing (we saw turtles, clown fish, giant clams) the trip out to the reef in their speed boat was just as good. We got some awesome air off the swell! If there is rough surf... More

We were recommended to visit the reef with ocean safari rather than the other tour operators in cairns or port Douglas. Their smaller sized tour groups and exclusive reef access made for a wonderful experience. Thank you ocean safari!

We recently went on this tour and it was excellent! Kane-o and Jace were great guides and made the day fun! The reef looked amazing and the small groups are great, so it's not too crowded or busy in the water 😀 cheers for a great morning!

Thanks Ocean Safari for the excellent snorkling trip yesterday... So happy we chose the boutique (less people) option as it provided us & the small group with us the chance to learn & meet each other & snorkle in an uncrowded private reef area... Loved the education to go along with the mix...Great day out... The 1/2 suited us perfectly...

This is the second time I’ve been out with Ocean Safari and I honestly have to say that I’m still buzzing from the trip, a week and a half later!! The staff are just so lovely and clearly love what they do; we had Cam, who had a smile on his face the whole time, and skipper Cain (who I... More

We ended up going out on a day with a strong wind warning, about 20 - 25 knots. It was a bit rough but the boat and drivers handled it very well. Getting out and back was an adventure indeed and not for the frail. Choppy seas also made snorkeling a bit difficult with waves making it harder to swim... More
