Description: Ocean Safari offers an exhilarating ride to snorkel the pristine untouched...
Ocean Safari offers an exhilarating ride to snorkel the pristine untouched Great Barrier Reef off the Daintree Coast at Cape Tribulation. This half day eco tour visits two different snorkel destinations, each with an extraordinary array of marine life and coral species. The tour begins at Cape Tribulation beach where guests board the vessel bound for the tropical waters of the Great Barrier Reef. After an exhilarating fast ride of approximately 25 minutes guests are ready to snorkel two fabulous locations at Mackay and Undine Reefs. On most days the rainforest can be seen along the mainland beach whilst snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, home to an abundance of marine life as well as beautiful hard and soft corals. The Ocean Safari vessel takes a maximum of 25 passengers allowing guests to experience tropical paradise and the pleasure of a small group. The vessel is based on the original design of a rescue craft and is a rigid inflatable boat driven by 700hp engines. The experienced Skipper and Eco Host ensure the trip is filled with fun and appreciation of the Great Barrier Reef and the coastal rainforest of the Daintree, two world heritage areas side by side. Magical memories like these sometimes only happen once in a lifetime. The Ocean Safari check in office is at the Turtle Rock Cafe and Jungle Lodge, Cape Tribulation Road and a courtesy bus pick up from Cape Tribulation accommodation is included. Ocean Safari has Advanced Eco Accreditation.

Have you seen a wild turtle before? Yes. Has it ever stayed long enough for you to stare into their eyes? Not really until now. Ocean Safari was well worth its price. They picked us up from Cape Tribulation Beach House and drove us over to the check in office. Hungry? They have a little cafe with coffee and snacks... More

We had a great visit to the reef with a very friendly crew. Around 25 people on the trip. They took good care of us and we had the fabulous experience of swimming with turtles. Very good value for the money and a very different experience to Port Douglas etc. Enjoyed the Cape Trib experience and this was the best... More

We had a fantastic time snorkelling on the reef. The boat ride was great on its own but the reef is beautiful. We were only a small group, less than 25 people and this made it very quiet in the water and visibility was great. We went in January and the water was warm, the weather sunny and the sea... More

Snorkeling with Ocean Safari was a great experience. The short boat ride and relatively small size of the snorkeling group made the trip all about the snorkeling and the reef, not dealing with crowds. Other reviews detail all that you can see--and it is amazing. We were very impressed with the knowledge that the crew has of the marine life... More

Nothing is better than swimming with sea turtles along the Great Barrier Reef in one of the oldest rainforest in the world! The staff are especially friendly and very knowledgeable. I've been on Ocean Safari twice and I am not a great swimmer. There were a few times where I would get water in my mask and struggled to swim.... More

Over the years we have tried quite a few of the reef tours out of Port Douglas - from now on though, it is ocean safari all the way. While it is a 1 1/2 hour drive up to Cape Trib/Daintree (which you should def do anyway) it is a fast 25 minutes out to the reef and the most... More

Me, my hubby, two young children (5 & 9yrs old) and their grandpa recently took a trip to the Great Barrier Reef with Oceans Safari in Cape Tribulation. It was a fabulous experience and I can't recommend it enough. Cape Tribulation is the closest point to the reef so it only takes 25 mins to get out to the reef... More

Absolutely beautiful tour! We were taken to two different spots in the reef which were just perfect. These guys are the only ones that offer this tour so there was just a small group of us who had this part of the reef to ourselves. It was unforgettably breathtaking. Cam and Kane definitely know their stuff which helps you feel... More
